I never been a fan of Pink Floyd and this album doesn't change anything, I don't really like it. I think that if they released this album 20 years ago the criticism should be very bad and several.

I'm amazed so many guys have such an "love affair" with this 50 YO band. Loved DSOTM "then". Moved on a long time ago... It's not 1970 anymore. One man's opinion..

Well, many MILLIONS of others have a VERY different opinion of Pink Floyd. Not only were they gifted musicians and songwriters, they were also one of musical pioneers of rock music. They certainly have a unique and TIMELESS style, unlike current "cookie cutter" pop/rock bands who copy the style of the week and are quickly forgotten in the "sea of sameness". Love 'em or hate 'em, you cannot deny their influence in the rock genre.

Kinda like why some people still like big band music that was written 75 years ago....I't timeless. And this is newly released material. Not the same old big band numbers. Hey, I like big band music too so it's not a knock or anything but it just raises the question.

Sure they are old, so is Louis Armstrong, and that Bach dude ain't getting any younger! I think quality music is timeless. Now I admit to being much more familiar with the Floyd than Taylor Swift or Hozier, but if I hear them and it is good, then it gets added to the mix. But it seems to me that the age of the music or artist is not really pertinent.

I just wanted to comment that is not new at all. Most of these tracks are at least 20 years old with many coming from the Division Bell sessions.... Nothing new here at all.. Just saying.. It may have been written along time ago, but none of us have ever heard it. It was never released. Therefore, it's new to us.

Can anyone truly tell one Pink Floyd song from another? I am going to look for this article I found in which someone conducted a test, and post it here. They assembled a group of people, blindfolded them, and then played 10 Pink Floyd songs in random order. Not one listener could reliably tell them apart on more than a chance basis. The same person who conducted this test is offering a free joint and a pristine vinyl copy of Big Bambu to anyone who is able to correctly tell the difference between different Pink Floyd tracks on more than a chance basis. As far as I know, no one who has taken him up on this offer has passed the challenge.

This album seems to be more of a David Gilmore album than a Pink Floyd album. Still nice to hear.

Waters may be the vibe, but Gilmore is the sound of Pink Floyd.

I love the album. Have it on vinyl. Considering most of the tracks are 20 years old, it is done very well. Love the Gilmour side of Floyd. He's the musician. Waters was the show. IMHO

I've listened to it a few times now and while there are a few tracks I don't care for, overall I like it quite a bit.
