Yeah I would have the same reaction if I just glanced at the line card as there are some really stupid snake oil boutique BS on there. BUT If you buy T-14 and D-110 bulk you are getting the same quality cable stock that a lot of very expensive boutique brands use. It can't be argued that top quality materials are used it's just the prices that are insane on the finished assemblies and the flag ship fluff. Not that it matters, if I was ordering a stereo pair I'd get each in the same length. It's a bad idea to ever order a cable that's just one length if you intend to resale them as a pair and you pretty much have to sell them as a stereo pair. These cables are very low cap so I'd add a couple extra feet just to be sure. This is another reason to go DIY as you just buy one long length and make each segment to your own needs. I couldn't agree more, I final made my first set of cables and I out did my expectations,,,,,OMGoodness,,,,,,, land I do believe in equality length cables.

Nice cables for sure but too rich for my tastes A lot of people talk up Monoprice and I have never had them but I am sure there good cables. Call me a freak if you want but I have never heard a cable and really like my X-series Emotiva cables. They are built solid. Love the jackets and connectors on them.

monoprice cables are good for the price but sometimes lack in consistency. iirc, there was someone here in the the lounge whose one of monoprice xlr cable stucked in the amp. but that's maybe just 1 in 1000.

We ran all Mogami wire in our Studio some runs of 40 feet with 24 splits. Great wire and the easiest wire I have ever soldered ends on. Used all switchcraft ends and patch bays. Not the most expensive wire but I don't think Reco would sound any better and with the very short cable runs in most HT systems Monoprice is plenty good but that is just my opinion I don't want to turn this into a crazy what the best wire thread.

Mogami make great pro audio cable but I think the Belden and Gotham equivilants are better. Gotham has a double Reussen shielding vs. single in the Mogami. Mogami has a PVC insulator on the analog spec cable where as the Belden 1800 and Gotham use XLPE. The Mogami 3173 AES 110 cable is great and it does use CPP that's better than PVC and the small AES 110 cables use XLPE vs. the PVC in the analog stuff. As a general rule the AES 110 spec cable is the better cable even if it's for analog use.I'm not sure what you mean by saying Redco wouldn't sound better as they don't make cable though they might have a chinese stecil cheap cable in their linecard. They make assemblies from third party cables etc. If your studio has a lot of money etc and was doing new runs I'd order spools of the DH Labs D-110 cable. It uses a single Reussen shield vs the Gotham double though. If it had double Reussen then it would be the absolute perfect balanced cable technically I've ever seen. BTW the D-110 is using a Teflon insulator on silver plated ohno copper. Expect to pay close to half of the website bulk price listing when you buy a couple of spools direct. DH Labs D-110 AES 110 Cable

That's looking good I had planned on doing something like that last winter when I was remodeling my living room but ran short on funds so it will have to wait a few more years. I was just looking at the spec's for the XPA 7 only 200 Watts per channel real power. While that is a good deal of power, the 7 channel Amp they were selling last summer under the Sherbourn name had 350 Watts real power all channels driven. I would have thought they would have kept that amp and rebadged it. I will be looking for a 2 or 3 channel amp soon and want to match as closely as possible the power in my Sherbourn. The XPA 2 @ 300 watts looks good but I will need 2 of them depending on what I do when I upgrade from my 5.2 to 7.2 surround.

The bottom opening is 13 inches high, the one above is 8 inches. The amps are only 4 inches high.
That shelf was built into a 6 foot wide closet that is empty. I also have an exhaust fan in the ceiling that I can turn on if need be.
Do they get that hot in a/b mode? I really don't think with that about of space there is a concern, should I be? I see that those who mentioned the XPA's getting hot don't have XPA's in their signature.....

I just measured my rack with these amps, I have 8" space and should be OK but I must mention that I have a set of Sherbourn C-12 fan units for mine. I like driving Classe A a lot , but even without the fans you should be fine. Best amp money can buy!!!

I at least have a ton of open space behind the cabinet, I could drawn air in rather easily with the exhaust fan I have in the attic. Unfortunately my rack could only be 18 inches wide so standard rack mount coolers wouldn't work

I used a cheap outside remote temp sensor 15$ at walmart and them could monitor them in real time. I had a Yamaha class A a/b with the auto switch and wish I had never let it go, If these amps are anything like the Yamaha of old they will be great sounding Amps.
