Ditto on the XDA-2. Lots of DAC for little cash.

And actually, if you really want to save some dough, I'm getting ready to put an XDA-1 up for sale cheap. I have the XMC-1 now and don't need it anymore. Works great. Sorry, shameless plug!

The two best cheap DACs I've heard are the Audioquest Dragonfly (USB only) and the Jolida Tube FX.

It really depends on what you're looking for. If you want a neutral DAC, then the XDA-2 would be an excellent choice. (The XDA-2 Gen2 product page will be up shortly....) If you don't need the headphone output, that used XDA-1 will do you just fine (however, remember that you will be limited to 48k via USB on the XDA-1). The two best cheap DACs I've heard are the Audioquest Dragonfly (USB only) and the Jolida Tube FX.

The XDA-2 is great. But a little more, the DC-1 is phenomenal.

I agree that the XDA-2 would be a great deal at $219.00.I was going to buy one but the it says reserve.I was going to reserve one but it wont let me.I saw that KeithL said the XDA-2 Gen 2 page was going to be up soon.Anyone know what the price on that will be?I am just trying to better my 2 channel sound quality. My max would be $250.00.I do not stream any music so USB would not be used.
Thanks for all the suggestions so far.

Dragonfly or DC-1 is my reccomendation. Thanks, but unfortunately the Dragonfly is USB only and unless you are going to sell me you're DC-1 for $250.00 does not meet my budget

Unfortunately, the XDA-2 which is in the price range isn't quite what I would go for. But I'm kind of picky! I love my DC-1 though! There are schiit DAC's too that are supposed to be nice - but no volume control.
