I hope so, the only reservation I had was that I've read a couple of reviews stating it's politeness in sound signature, I'm not sure what they mean by that, but I interpret that as being on the warm side of things, than that is good in my books!

Congrats!, have had mine for a couple months now, It replaced a AVR, I'm using it as a DAC/Pre set up, couldn't be happier! Source: SBTouch EDO for 192 via USB, Oppo via HDMI splitter, Turntable into analog in, perfect for my needs  |

Celing, how would you describe the sound?.......I will be using it as pre also with a Bryston 4B and Paradigm studio 100!

Nice!, Accurate would be the word I would use, neutral, I'm happy it doesn't have up sampling or installed filters and such, one of the reasons I searched this out, No clicking between sample rate changes which is a plus If your master was recorded bright, it's going to sound bright, and opposite applies also, all depends on the master IMO, For me it was the sheer amount of inputs/remote that impressed me, like I said earlier it replaced an electricity sucking avr, in time the DC-1 will have paid for itself in energy bill savings, seriously! |

Currently listening to 24bit/192kHz Beethoven Symphony 6, 2nd movement.  PC to DC-1 to Emotiva Stealth 6. Couldn't be happier with the SQ. I have a full-blown 11 channel setup and pretty-much only use this 2.1 setup to listen to music. |
