My kit just arrived. I really only expected the thumb drive to be the surprise (which is cool enough). But the actual surprise is... We'll you'll see soon enough. Nice touch Emotiva!  |

Just a quick update here for everyone.
We were going to send out the emails with everyone's "keys" but Microsoft sent out an update for Windows 8 which threw a wrench in things. It made changes to the firewall exceptions which blocked the Dirac code from seeing the XMC and visa versa.
We have isolated the root cause of this and are taking care of it now, so please be patient and we will be sending out the keys very soon.
Oh, by the way, just to clarify things here, the USB drive is so you can update the XMC with the latest code which will probably be published later today as long as we don't have to make a change to it for the Microsoft thing. The email we sent out will have a code key that will give you access to download and install the Dirac code. So there is no code included in the kits. We didn't want to put the Xmc firmware on the USB drive incase something like the Microsoft update happened and the Dirac software must be downloaded directly from them.

Lonnie has popped one new part in with a warranty part for an XPA-5 that was sent out to me, but its not left Emotiva as yet so Im unlikely to have a dirac xmas either way as no dirac shipment yet either. I still enjoy my XMC-1 as is tho for now...and I just picked up another 40% card so will either go for another soon or maybe sit on it for the RMC-1 |
