Has anyone else plugged in the thumb drive? Mine's empty, but certainly does not have the capacity recommended for firmware updates; in fact, I didn't even know they still made thumb drives this small. I guess I didn't look close enough. I though mine was 64 gig.

I used it to update to 2.0. Small, yes, but plenty of room for firmware updates.

I have been using a 128Mb drive to do my updates without issue. I am not sure why size would matter as long as it can hold the file.

It would be great if Emotiva could email the Dirac keys before the days end. Weekends are the only time I can dedicate enough time to do it, and next weekend I'll leave for two weeks.
COME ON EMOTIVA, YOU CAN DO IT!

Well you can thank M$ for this. I spent an hour getting my Squeeze Box back on the network after the latest update. Had to add a new rule to the firewall. Cant blame EMO , god damn hackers forcing such strict firewall settings.

I'm tracking. I do wonder if those of us who haven't jumped to Windows 8 yet could be testing it out though.
Damn hackers.

Yeah, I got mine too. But don't see any link to the Mac version. If you just do the software download after registering, you get a PC version. Don't have any legacy PCs to use that on...
Update: According to Emotiva tech support, there is no Mac version as of yet. Bummer. They did say the 30-day trial period would be postponed until the Mac version was out.

You can load up a windows VM easy enough with VirtualBox, VMware or parallels. VirtualBox is free - the other 2 are pay to play.

Jim - just install windows on the VM and snapshot it after the initial install and patch. You can rollback to that state at any time then - no virus issues etc. Also : www.howtogeek.com/186775/how-to-download-windows-7-8-and-8.1-installation-media-legally/It won't register or patch etc. without a legal key, but I'd imagine it'll be functional enough to get the dirac running as a one off.

Such as the new ASUS Eeebook F205. Install Foobar on it and connect via USB to the XMC-1 then you have also a good audio player.

Instead of waiting for the Dirac license code, does anyone know if we can use the 14-Day Trial from Dirac with the XMC-1 and Dirac kit? www.dirac.se/en/online-store.aspx I might give it a try this weekend.
