Wife thinks I'm crazy anyway...
Just ordered 3 x XPA-1s as an upgrade from an XPA-100 and XPA-2. Can't beat the e-Club price right now for them. Will be powering my Aerial Acoustics 6T mains and (next month) a new Aerial Acoustics 7CC center. 60 watts of Class A and a FULLY balanced amp will sound very nice with my XSP-1.
Now I just need to finish my custom speaker cables to fully take advantage of the setup.
Will advise once they arrive by the end of the week and subsequent review. I don't see any reviews really with Aerial speakers, figure someone may want a review for future reference.

Congratulations! You're going to love the XSP-1 and XPA-1 combination. BTW, mono IS contagious so you may want to isolate yourself for a couple of weeks (with your new equipment of course).

Responding to a few things here, from the bottom up.
Gary - I'm coming off (albeit unbalanced) my Denon receiver to the amp for the center. Not using the XSP-1 at all.
garbulky - While I do like the XSP-1, I am saving up for an ARC pre-amp. Looking at an LS 27 SE specifically. I love the sound of tubes on a pre-amp. If Emotiva made one, I may think twice.
novisnick - There's always an exception to every policy! Gear arrives Friday, so I should be rocking this weekend. New XLRs arrived today as well.
Related, I will post pics of my cables I'm building in a few weeks. I gave my woodworker at work some Cocobolo to turn some speaker connector covers. Cables are made from Transparent Reference cable with Cardas spade connectors. I have a guy at work who is an electronics tech and is going to solder and test the cables on our test bench. Going from some 14ga wire now to basically an 8 ga cable.

Been running them a day now. Much warmer sound in Class A than the XPA-2 that I had before. That's just initial listening, more in-depth review to come later...
HOWEVER, I have humming/buzzing coming from my mains now... It's related to the XSP-1 because my center (not hooked to the XSP-1) doesn't have it. Happens whether I'm in HT Bypass or not. Using AQ Mackenzie XLRs from the XPA-1s to the XSP-1. With XLRs disconnected, no humming/buzzing, perfectly silent. Need to troubleshoot further down the line...

If it's buzz it sounds like a ground loop.

I had same buzzing problem, did about an hour of trouble shooting. Turns out it was my outlet that I think it is share with the laundry room. I moved all my equipments to another outlet and the buzz went away. Just unplug everything and start all over. Plug one thing at a time and see if the buzz appears.

Put my older AQ Diamondbacks on and now all I have is the familiar (and faint) hiss. Too bad my older Diamondbacks aren't long enough (had to rearrange a few things to test). Just have to buy some longer Diamondbacks now... This is what I get for trying out new cables!

I use monoprice and Emotiva xlr cables and have no hiss at all with my setup. I used to have a hiss when I had the USP-1 with XPA-1s because I was using RCA cables. Going all xlr cables made my system so quiet.

I'll rephrase... The is is barely audible only when you ear is up to the tweeter. Otherwise, nothing when further away.
