Hello All
I posted this on AVS and also trying to see if some one here can comment as well
Speaker Selection for Atmos and Aurora Hello All
I am also considering installing new speakers and wiring before AV8802 is released.
I currently have a 5.2 system AV8801 Front Left and Right Klipsch RF 7II Center Klipsch RC 64II Surround JTR Slanted Single 8's. Two Seaton Subversive HP+ in the front.
I am planning to add two slaves to Seaton next year and spread them between front and back.
Now I am trying to see for front heights and Rear Surrounds if I can use Airmotiv 6 or Stealth 6 from Emotiva or should I stick with JTR's for this.
What speaker options do I have for in ceiling speakers and Voice of God Speaker.
I am eventually planning to replace Fronts and Center with Catalyst 12C.
Cheers
Raj

I think the stealthy would be way to big for height speakers. I would recommend sticking with the JtR that sounds like it is a great speaker Plus it will allow for more uniformity But can I make a suggestion...since the height speakers don't have a huge amount of work to do (they work with your existing soeakers to create sound images in space) you go with a much cheaper speaker unless of course you are thinking if using atmos for multi chsnnel music. I run psa mt110's and use klipsch quintets (50$/Pr) for atmos ceiling speakers and they do an outstanding job Just another option to save you money

Thank you so much for the suggestion. I have lounge seating in the projector room and will use them for music as well.
As I am considering going the route of Catalyst 12C's for mains, would like to move everything to powered speakers. So at some point JTR's can go and I can have front heights, surround and surround backs powered as well.
I may only have 4 in ceiling speakers no powered as I don't see powered option for that. If that is the case, would you still recommend not have Airmotiv 6 for that duty.
Cheers
