I've got three Stealth 6's, 90% HT usage, probably 50 hours or so on them. I'm loving them!!!!
Over the weekend I was having some fun demo'ing some Blu Rays and the dialogue coming out of the center channel Stealth was just wimpy..like as if the woofer just stopped working...just zero low end. I swapped the center for the right and re ran some scenes and dialogue was 10x better. Speaker turns on fine, I have a blue light. The sound that does come out is loud and clean but as though the low end has been eliminated.
PS3 -> UMC200 -> Stealths is the current setup.
I've tried to work from PS3 through the UMC200 to see if there is anything (settings) that might cause this but could not ID anything?
Anyone has any thoughts or ideas on what this could be ? Possible amp failure on the woofer???

An amp problem appears to be the most likely cause imo. However....just to be sure....now swap the speaker back into the center and see if it still sounds low bass. It could have been a faulty interconnect - though I doubt it.

I had my son with me to confirm the audio. We picked a nice heavy dialogue scene from the 1st Star Trek movie...the bar scene..after the fight..when Pike is speaking to Kirk. We turned off the Front right and left and only had the center going. Volume was 55.0 on UMC-200 in both tests and Center level was +4.0 dbs. Test 1 - Suspected Problem Stealth: Dialogue was clean, loud, but lacked the truth depth in Pike's voice Test 2 - Right Front Stealth Moved to Center: Diaglgue was clean, loud, and Pike's voice had enormous depth and width to it. Sounded much much better. What's the best way to address with Emotiva? Is a phone call the best and easiest way to ask for support on this?

What is likely is that the woofer is not moving for some reason. Try putting your ears by the woofer and see if you can hear it. Then put your ears to the tweeter. Usually they will have two different sounds enough to tell really obviously that the woofer is not working. Be careful not to deafen yourself. You can also tell during drum beats if the woofer is moving or not by just watching it from the side. You can also lightly touch the edge of the woofer to feel if it is moving but do it in such a way that you don't cause the rapid movement of the woofer to tear itself against your finger. If you do the touching thing, I wouldn't go telling anybody that though.... Either way, I think you're going to need some service on the speaker. Just want to make sure that when you switched speakers.....you didn't move the RCA wire that was connected to the center speaker to where the center speaker was moved to? I.e. the RCA wire stayed the same in the center. As that can help rule out the wire.

While I didn't touch anything I could tell that the woofer was moving on the "suspect speaker" but I really only think it was just vibrating. When the "good speaker" was used as a my center the woofer clearly was moving more and the low end was just night and day. My 13 year old even agreed and said "Dad..that speaker is toast". I'm really disappointed because I only have about 50 hrs on all 3 and was just starting to really enjoy and realize how perfect these are for my needs. I haven't dealt with Emo for any service issues or potential returns ever..but from the little I read I feel confident that they will take care of me one way or another. I , of course have all of the original boxes & packaging so if it needs to go back it will safely make it. I do have a 2nd issue but suspect it is on my side rather than a problem with the speakers. I am hearing a buzz on the right front..but it cycles. Like it I hear it..then it stops and goes away for a minute but then comes back. ANy idea what this "might" be? in a dead quiet room it is very apparent and down right annoying to hear it.

Looks like you definitely need a service! The buzz - is that coming from a computer that's hooked up to it? I used to have it happen when I moved the mouse on an older setup! Also things that cause buzz - AC systems, dimmer switches, the COAX cable from the cable box, washing machines.

Computer is in my bedroom. Using HDMI from cable box. I just called tech support but no answer so I will call in the am. Thanks for all of your comments & insight on this matter. Bummed that I have this issue but hoping for the best when I do call.
