I am trying to connect my new FX8100 receiver to an HDTV w/a 3-ch setup. I have a nice Bose horizontal center speaker and Bose Floor-standing 601's (ca. 1981) for right front and left front. No rears. The SVS2000b sub has an RCA sub speaker input but the back of the 8100 shows an XLR. The Bose R and L have bare speaker wire connectors. Can this be made to work.

I do not have the 8100 but believe you can use the sub rca within the 7.1 output line of rcas. This may prohibit bass management - not sure. You may want to check owner's manual.

The 8100 has both an RCA and XLR out. You can use either one or both sub outs.
