Hello all, I am building a semi-dedicated theater room and have a few setup and placement questions for the experienced folks in this forum. As this is one of my first posts I hope this is in the correct area.
Some background on my build, My theater area is approximately 16.5' deep, 8' ceiling, 14' wide and is an L shape leaving the left rear seating area open leading towards a bar area.
My question is I am looking to finally purchase all of my gear and am having issues with not going 7.1. Due to the one side of my seating area being open I have no options for left and right surround speakers. I currently have rear speakers wired for 5.1 but would like to have 7.1. I am considering buying some in ceiling speakers but am unsure if this will cause issues with imaging or anything else. Any input is greatly appreciated.
