RIP Mr. Spock. I'm a big Star Trek fan and the Trek universe is getting smaller... Pardon my indulgence with this video clip.

Well, I guess he won't be in the new Star Trek movie. God speed, Mr. Spock.

R.I.P Mr. Spock. I'm shocked. I thought he would live forever. A sad day indeed.

Wow, this sucks. I don't usually get effected much by celebrity deaths, but every once in a while it hits me. This is one of those times. I have tears in my eyes right now.
Leonard Nimoy played a profound role in my life. I was too young for Star Trek so my first encounter with him was narrating the show In Search Of (1977 - 1982) which I loved. I still believe in Big Foot and the Loch Ness Monster to this day because of this show. And then of course Star Trek later on in life, and all the other things he's done.
Sorry, I can't think about it right now.......too much.....

Star Trek nut here.....he became an icon and struggled with that until he finally accepted it. I have known who he was all my life (I was born while the show was airing) but remember the show in syndication (which I never missed as a kid if I could help it). God bless Mr. Nimoy!

RIP Mr. Spock. I'm a big Star Trek fan and the Trek universe is getting smaller... Pardon my indulgence with this video clip. "He's really not dead.....as long as we remember!"
With a strange sense of irony, I started a trip early this week down Star Trek memory lane; starting with 1966..... Space Seed with Ricardo Montalbán. Had no idea what news we would wake up to today........ Finished "The Wrath" yesterday and now sadly, the Search For Spock. So much fun distraction and joy brought to my life from this man and the rest of "the crew".
The XMC-1 is helping me enjoy my personal tribute by bringing these movies to life in a way I never experienced when they were first released. Check out the remastered versions of these films when you can.

Yes. The whole 3 seasons of the original are on Netflix in HD and 5.1 DD+ What fun to be able to re-watch them all again, in better sound and picture quality than my TV circa 1960, as a kid. No one knew then what this show would become, decades later. It is one of a very few shows that does not portray the future as a dystopia.

I am sad.
I'll always remember having to go upstairs to watch the small TV because I was the only one who wanted to watch Star Trek.

This can't be so...he just "needs more power" . Everyone knew Spock as the one without human emotions, but I saw him in a live play at the Casius Carter Theater in San Diego in 1975 or so. The play was "The Glass Booth" a trial of a Nazi war criminal. He was the man on trial. The amount of emotion he displayed was unreal. You could see the blood pounding in the veins on his forehead and the sweat running down his face. It was so real I almost expected him to have a heart attack on the spot! He was truly a great actor. The memories will live on...... Ann
