And to be more precise the following issues: Default to 48khz if dac/amp is not turned on with the computer. Once defaulted to 48khz impossible to go to 192khz When you put it on standby and come back it turns the volume to 100 and changes it to 48khz There is numerous post on here and on other forums that complain of 1 if not all 3 of those issues. Here is a video I just did showing the standby bug. If it wasn't for the dual xlr on this device I would have thrown it against the wall along time ago. youtu.be/sqtVrkXWVy8I've tried different drivers, different computers, different operating systems. Same issue

I have multiple XDA-2 players but I have never used any of them via USB or for computer playback......only as a pre for my CD players. Every one of them functions flawlessly to this point.

Is this guy a writer or something? Very impressive to say the least! He almost made me wanna buy one... Agree 100% . I may upgrade my old dac maguc after reading this. But teaman, what do you need 4 DACs for?

My Computer is always on and locked up if I am not around but I switch off the DAC and Amp . I always get 192kHz for the default playbacks of youtube etc and volume always stays where I put it last.

Maybe with the gen2 they fixed it. I just saw where someone has the xda2 gen 1 and he was having the exact problems I was but on an apple. This leads me to believe both were faulty or the xda2 gen 1 is inherently bugged.

jaydreamer Welcome & thanks for the entertainment; you do work for the "make me really want to buy junk and over pay for it" channel, right? lol That was truly a good review, thanks. I was on the fense on getting the XDA, not now. You'll meet some truly smart, helpful people on this forum and sometimes find ones that really are neat to know that's in your backyard. The Emo-events are great if you ever get a chance. I would also like to say that Emo gear & Monitor Audio are a very nice pairing. I hope you like your Monitors as much as I do...those puppies will make you think you're setting with gods listening to the sirens sing. (did I pass the audition?) Most people either like the C-CAM or they don't. I believe your Silver 6 will have the old Gold series tweeter which is a step up for the Silver line. If you get a chance, listen to the GX series with their new ribbon tweeter, sweet.

But I've not ever changed my initial settings in Windows since I set it up. Whatever I did, it works, the XDA-2 comes up with the correct bitrate for the source material every time. I've not seen any mention of those issues before...but I probably have not searched as much as you since mine works great.

Same issue OK, I got home and checked it out. My XDA-2 feeds a stereo amp. So I don't use USB speakers through the windows audio control, which it appears you are using. I use ASIO or WASAPI, which bypasses the windows audio system. Using this method, I can turn things off in any sequence, but the XDA-2 always comes back at the proper sample rate and same volume level. Maybe someone else who is using USB speakers can try it out.

Maybe someone else who is using USB speakers can try it out. He means USB input to the XDA-2 from the PC, not USB speakers.

Maybe someone else who is using USB speakers can try it out. He means USB input to the XDA-2 from the PC, not USB speakers. Yes, that is the source path. However, his video shows that he is using USB speakers. When he is showing his software selections, it is the USB speakers that he is using to set properties. I am just saying I cannot recreate his issue, because I use PC-XDA2-XPA200, and my settings are done in FOOBAR not in the USB speakers area. Since I don't have any of the problems he is having, then I suspect the issue is in the PC audio control.
