Two questions. I am getting the bug to upgrade my speakers and I am seriously looking at the Pendragons for L/C/R duty and I was wondering if there is anybody that is running these using XPA-1Ls and what do you think of their performance? Second question does anyone have a picture of these with the grills? I can't seen to find one on Tekton's website.

I enjoyed this exact combo for over a year in one of my theaters, wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone considering either product. Great pairing. Never seen Pendragons with grills either, so good luck with that.

I was just reading the article about the new Tekton Enzo XL's in this month of Stereophile. Seems like pretty fantastic speakers, however it drives me nuts to see a manufacturer rating way out of spec. Stereophile rated it at only 90.6 db efficiency while the manufacturer claim is 96.5 db. Not sure why this seems to be commonplace now.

I went from a UPA to the XPA-iLs and the improvement is stunning. Paired with the Pendragons. I've had several members from the NJ/NY audio clubs visit my home to listen to it - all are amazed at it. Awesome pairing.

I had no plans to sell my Pendragons. But am doing so only because I am relocating and like to make my shift easy and convenient. But the new home is likely to be much bigger and so have spoken to Eric about the 1812/2112 and likely to pick one up in the summer. Fingers crossed !!

Buying is not the real issue. Transportation and setting them at home is my biggest concern. Eric tells me that they weight 500+ lbs a pair.
