I just use Bit Perfect and iTunes. Sounds good, easy to use, and the price is right.

Just thought I would throw in that the audio out jack on a Mac Mini is both an electrical connector, and an optical connector, specifically mini-toslink optical. In fact, the electrical part is TRRS, i.e., 4 conductor, so can be used as an input too! Use a TRRS to split TRS cable, like this: www.headsetbuddy.com/pc-computer-headset-to-3-5mm-smartphone-adapter/
