FW 3.0 is available now on the XMC-1 Resources page.
The good news and the bad news:
Bad news: I'm still experiencing a very small drop out at the beginning of the first track on a CD playing on an Oppo BDP-105D via HDMI. Subsequent tracks are fine.
Good news: I never liked what Dirac Live LE did to the sound of my Martin Logan ElectoMotion ESL speakers. After I installed the new FW I re-ran Dirac because I recently got a new SVS SB13-Ultra sub and a couple of back speakers. Now Dirac sound fantastic. Go figure. I suggest anyone that was less than thrilled with Dirac Live LE with the 2.0 FW, try it again after installing 3.0 and let me know if I'm crazy or not.

What is did not fix is that I still have to unplug either my projector or the HDMI out on the XMC if I want it to pass audio only from my Oppo 103D. I can have the song playing (controlling from the Oppo media app) and get no sound at all. Unplug the projector and I get sound.... plug it back in and it goes away. (This is all with the projector OFF). Works fine if the projector is on. Someone earlier said it had to do with the HDMI "sink". But my old Marantz 8801 did not have this problem when playing HDMI audio only from the Oppo.

I have no issues with playing my OPPO 93 when my projector is turned off.
I have HDMI2 from OPPO going direct to Projector, and HDMI1 going to XMC-1, then on to the Sony LCD TV (and on to a 2nd HDMI on my projector).
I can run sound from the XMC-1, with both Projector and TV on, with PROJECTOR only on and TV off, and with Projector off and TV on, and with both TV and projector off.
Never loose signal. This is on Version 2, and have not updated to V3 yet.

Thanks! That gave me the idea to just go connect HDMI 2 out of the Oppo to HDMI 4 of the XMC. For whatever reason that works! HDMI 1 out does not but HDMI 2 out does. It is still affected by the projector since I get a momentary loss of audio if I pull the projector's power or plug it back in, but the audio comes back each time. So that is fixed!

Clipping Gone! Video Pass Through volume issue still so low it's unusable on my Samsung. Release notes mentioned this issue on Sony only although I called it in as a bug.

I just downloaded FW 3.0 and upgraded my toaster to the latest and greatest. I've noticed the following improvements: - Catch & Release spring locks on faster after pressing the lever to begin toasting cycle (thanks Big Dan!). - Heating is more even which yields better tasting toast. - Less noise and hum from the transformer. - Pops and clicks from element expansion are completely gone! - More predictable toasting cycles (e.g. 60 seconds is 60 seconds, not 67 seconds). And last, but not least, when the toast pops up, there is an unmistakable "cha-ching" sound. Dunno how that helps, but I could swear my wallet is a bit fatter (no double-blind testing performed to support claims).

Definitely noticed an instantaneous lock on to HDMI when changing inputs. No dropping of the first second or so on the optical/coax/AES EBU inputs. CEC looks to be more robust with more control features, will have to give it trial later this evening.

Your HDMI out on the Oppo 103D seems to be set to Split A/V , and that's the way it's supposed to work (i.e. one HDMI for audio only).
