Version 3.0 did NOT fix my HDMI pass through problem. Audio still goes very low to high back and forth back and forth to complete loss of audio and then back. Very frustrating. TV is a Vizio.

Just did the update and when I turn off the XMC-1 with TV on and video pass through, the XMC menu screen flashes on the TV screen 7 or 8 times quickly after the xmc is in stand-by mode and than goes away. Any body else?

Update. I recommend turning off video pass through before doing update so processor can shut completely down at end of update. I did this and re-ran the update and the menu flashing on the screen seems to be fixed.

As is the case with firmware updates in general, problems are fixed and then new ones are created. Emotiva does a good job of perusing these forums, but I would suggest calling them on Monday and reporting any issues that you can't resolve. See if you can talk to tech support. If you do, please report back.

Firmware update was an easy and flawless process. Bravo Emotiva! You've nailed it. I went through the very early UMC-1 updates so this streamlined USB based update is most welcome. Thanks.

Any body else? I have this problem also, I also get flashing of the volume level bar when I change the volume up. Did not have this issue before! It flashes off and on for several seconds when I up the volume.

There was a specific issue with no audio in Video in Standby with some Sony Bravia sets. We traced that to some sort of audio frame identifier that we apparently weren't doing 100% perfectly, but nobody except certain Sony Bravia sets seemed to care. It has been entirely FIXED. Whatever is going on with your Sammy, it's something different.... Clipping Gone! Video Pass Through volume issue still so low it's unusable on my Samsung. Release notes mentioned this issue on Sony only although I called it in as a bug.
