A friend of mine bought 2 for his Atmos home theater room. They are very powerful! Sounded great for movies. He doesn't really listen to music so I didn't get to hear them for music.

Did Bob design them? If he did, I bet they sound great.
And I bet he will have nothing to do with the company in 6 months. 8)

Bob has been long gone. Not sure if he still does any design consulting.

They probably sound like any other Sunfire sub: tons of output and very low frequency response from a super small enclosure, but high group delay due to the PR making them sound boomy in some applications.

Great for the movies, music maybe a bit unclear. I am very curious how these new Subs perform with music. Previous versions for music for me were not too clear, theater, and WAF, you won't find better. Sold Sunfire for years. The dark cherry was choice finish for sure. A beauty.

Previous versions for music for me were not too clear, This is an effect caused by the large group delay, and it's present in any sub system with passive radiators.

I have never hear the Sunfire. They were one of the first that pushed smaller cabinets. I am 100% satisfied with my subwoofer
