Testing out a system that I’ll be taking to my restaurant. No use for it at home and most likely wouldn’t get what I think the Yamaha RXA3020 is worth if I offered it for sale. So, I’ll move it to a room that is 5,000 sq ft with 10’ ceilings. That leaves me needing inexpensive speakers if I want to fill the room. Not looking to turn it into a bar or night club, too old to put up with drunks and such. Need my sleep with my condition. But I do spend a lot of time there and would enjoy rocking out on occasion. Without adding any amps I was thinking I’d need very efficient speakers BUT (Yes, a big but) I don’t want to spend what I should have in a room that size. Klipschhorns are more then I’m willing to spend! Ha, Ha! Maybe add a bigger screen tv. Klipsch and JBL comes to mind, I do like horns but don’t have that kind of room at home. Suggestions? No real Craig’s list as I live in a rather small town and am 2 plus hours from any larger city. ATM I do have a set of LS50’s but they’d be for near field only in that room. Too bad you sold those 901s. Hung from the ceiling they'd fill the room.

Too bad you sold those 901s. Hung from the ceiling they'd fill the room. The 901’s are still in the house but not in use at the moment. Month and a half or so ago the rain just kept coming in my restaurant and my Yamaha 3020 , Plasma tv and several other pieces of gear got soaked! I poured a lot of water out of each. Needless to say it’s all shot and the insurance company will give me pennies on the dollar. Not sure what I’m going to do atm, need to find a few employees and my health needs to improve. Big mess that I’m tired of messing with. This week will be gathering estimates or repairs to the restaurant. Lots of work to do. Anyway, I have a couple of spare amps to drive them but music at the restaurant isn’t my first priority. Nice big room with 12’ ceilings! Music sounds great in this space, esplive! IVe had 10 piece bands and 4 piece jazz quartets. Times have changed in a small town but some day I’ll get it all back to normal.

Do u still have ur sotm 200? Feedback? Yes, I’m still loving the sotm 200 Ultra’s functionality and has been trouble free in use. It’s been a great investment IMO. The system as a group has sounded divine. Synergy is the word I was looking for. .

Take care of yourself, Nick! We'd miss you if you were gone. Best of luck with the restaurant (and the insurance).

I have yet to have an issue with any of the Sherbourn products, and they certainly fly under the radar. I own four of the Sherbourn TST 2/200 amps. I run them all in stereo fully balanced, and they are fantastic amps at 200 wpc. The fact that I have bought all four off of Ebay for under $200 shipped each is nuts. I'm using one to power my old Infinity SM 150 in my garage and they do a great job.
I also have three of the TST 4 amps. I figure at 100 watts per channel and cost of less than $125 each I couldn't pass them up. I'm running a couple on my pc set ups, and also running a TST 2/200 on one.

Well friends, the resurrection of my little sub is complete. Sorry for taking so long to report back. It’s running on half the normal amount of watts (150) but is doing fine as a filler. I can’t complain at all. Thank you all for your assistance.

And now for something completely different. Ever have a complex system just start to give you a headache or two? I don’t use my system as much as I like this past year as it’s been difficult. Family, Bussiness and health issues. All on top of Covid which we’ve all avoided so far. All that said I couldn’t get my McIntosh to produce sound from any input so I extracted the C220 and put it on the table for diagnoses. It’s working well now through the testing I’ve done, RP 6 via onboard phone pre and I’m now listening to the Stones via Lehman Decad and alls well. All tubes so far, amps and pre, no SS amps yet and I pulled my master switch box out of the mix. Something is amiss and more testing is required but it won’t happen tonight?
Tomorrow I’ll test the digital in via Brooklyn DAC, both RCA (tube amp)and XLR (SS amp) A) test via direct connection B) test via Mapletree Audio Switch
I have three pre amps in this system A) RMC-1 B)Brooklyn C) McIntosh Each will need to be tested via switch to certify that all is working as it was before.
Complexity gives me the ability to taste many flavors of my music.
So far one bit of good news has been discovered, I’ve reread a couple of manuals and found how I can save my phone preamp tube, McIntosh has given me the ability to turn them off, I’m using the Decad and feel it sounds a bit better. One day I hope to upgrade to a MC cartridge. The C220 does not accommodate the MC cartridge so being able to run without using the tubes is a plus.
If you made it this far, I do apologize for being long winded and rambling. Enjoy the Music friends! 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Added bonus, cleaning and a little more organizing, I don’t dare touch the amp or speaker cables to the 7.2.4 HT System. 🤣🤯😂

Everything is good, I’ll guess that a wire or two was loose or aged out. Anyway, all is good and now the system is clean and tidy. Only thing not moved was the XPR-1’s. (Let lying amps lay)

View AttachmentMitch Once you start you get to see just how dirty the concrete is. Not including my parking area my driveway is approximately 150’. Finished the drive and still have much to do, but I’ve tackled most of it at this point. That spinner really does a remarkable job.
