Calibration DOES make a difference, doesn't it! Most definitely!!! That's why I had it done in the first place, warranty that replaced the screen also covered the recalibration. For me, the extended coverage paid off in spades. The calibrator showed me a lot about the process, it was very time consuming and well worth it. As you can see by the charts it's pretty much dead on now.

Novisnick, thanks a lot! I have found the unit, but can't seem to find its dimensions. What are the measurements of this unit?

It's not for sale anymore,,,,unfortunately!!!
Call Emotiva and tell them you want to purchase a Sherbourn C-12 Cooling Unit. We need them to rebrand and start making them again!!!
Otherwisewere on our own.

Living room setup, I'm listening to Eric Clapton and using a very old Windows XP netbook with JRiver loaded on it. It was never designed for this purpose and its straining to keep up. Looks like I'll need a laptop with a little more oomph!! Preferably with Windows 7 , but if it can hold on till I get a great price on almost anything cheap that can run Windows 10 , I'll be happy,,,,,,,,if JRiver will play on it.
Update on speakers in this room; I pulled the surround speakers and put them up front, boy they sound dang good Klipsch Reference RB-61 II. On stands, tweeters ear high. 3' off the back wall and with the right speaker 2'6" off the right wall.
They are sounding like towers, really nice full sound with the help of a single 12" Daton sub.
Being in a much larger room is great for sound stage, very wide, open and deep. Unplugged sounds great and the Netbook has settled down, no jitters. Or stuttering To help with the sound I'm employing the use of; Leveno Netbook (10 years old or there about ) getting music from a Porsche 4 T external HD. Feeding a DC-1 to my XSP-1 and off to a set of XPA-1Ls I'm very surprised at the SQ but then again I do like Klipsch speakers. I'm very pleased for now but the Mrs. Says a set of towers in this room would be great,,,,,,,,,,,someday.

Is Win 10 out yet? I thought it was still in beta? I've also heard that it's a free upgrade for anyone suffering with Win 8?

Windows 10, you can register and download a test drive. Yes, it will be a free upgrade from what I understand. You can check deeper, Microsoft, C-Net, or PC Magazine would be good places to hunt, me, I'm really in no hurry till I get a cheap PC cause there is no thing as cheap Apple!

Nope - No betas, thanks. This would be the virtual Windows machine on my business computer, and I won't use ANY version of Windoze that isn't been shaken out & debugged. I currently run Win. 7 and haven't had any problems (beyond the normal).
You're RIGHT that there's no cheap Apple (except maybe the Mac Mini). Nevertheless, for my business use, the cost is justified. YMMV

My old Netbook just doesn't have the processing power or memory to run absolutely smooth. im in no rush though,,,,,,,,,,,

Yep - Netbooks were notoriously underpowered. They were for web browsing & email only, for the most part.
I tried to use a Netbook as an audio server once, and got nothing but dropouts.
The good news is that minimal Windoze notebooks are now DIRT CHEAP (like $199 at Office Depot with a $200 rebate). OK - I'm exaggerating, but they REALLY are cheap. Watch for sales.
