Not Active While Playing Music? Why? Not needed for music. Virtually no music contains freqs below 30 Hz, and the dual Dayton 12"s can handle that just fine, and cleaner than the Bravox. In my system the Bravox, like the center and surrounds, are just for movies. None of them are powered up for music. Pic attached. All the speakers you see are DIY except the center channel.

I am not a DIY guy but respect those that do. I have assembled a few speakers never a sub. I would consider Parts Express as a source for drivers and buy the most name brand I could afford

What type of music do you enjoy that requires no subwoofer output? JAZZ at the Pawnshop perhaps? Great album by the way. With my system my subwoofers are active at all times unless I decide to disable them which I have never done. The Yamaha Aventage CX-A5000 pre-amp is supurb... Still waiting for Emotiva to create the much awaited XMR pre-amplifier if they even decide to produce. Cheers my friend "Open Up Your Ears" I listen to all music in reference stereo, no sub needed?

View AttachmentWhat type of music do you enjoy that requires no subwoofer output? Music does have subwoofer support --- two of them, the two sealed Dayton 12"s, each with a 300W Bash plate amp. They are flat down to about 27 Hz. It is only the 15" Bravox which is not used for music. Check the pic in my previous post. Those subs follow the design on this page (about a third of the way down the page): www.zaphaudio.com/archives.html
