THE new D class amps in the DC-1/SP-1 form factor will be sweet too So you did get to see the class D amps? How'd they look? More importantly, did you get to hear them? How was the sound?

A used XSP1 Gen 1 gets my vote. I've had 2 Parasound 2100's. While the Parasound sounded great(noticably better than the USP-1 and P3), the volume tracking was terrible. But the XSP has perfect volume tracking and sounds better than the Parasound. If you need an amp and bass management, the Outlaw RR2150 is a great choice too.

No I never say a saw them, just that they will be sweet when they come. They will be the latest ICE designs if I recall correctly, and maybe as quoted elsewhere online be around for Santa to drop off.

I just setup a 2 channel system in my home office. I have an iMac USB to DC-1 to Airmotiv 4s and an old Polk sub I had laying around. I also have a Sonos Connect into the DC-1 since I have Sonos in every room in the house. It works and sounds great. Awesome! Congrats. What do you think of your SA-250? I've been so intrigued by that amp. I love my SA-250. I use it to power my front speaker in my HT setup.

I liked my first one so much, I got a second one! Also besides the sonic qualities, the SA-250 is so much lighter, which is so appreciated here because I seem to wind up carrying things up and down the stairs more than anticipated.

I see that you have it, and the XPA-1L. Which set up do you prefer?

I'm not able to deploy my preferred setups right now, due to a slow moving renovation making space hard to find... but I think my favorite setup will be the XPA-1's paired with an XMC-1 and Revel 208's (or the Maggies 1.7), though for current tv/movie watching, we are using XMC-1, OPPO 105D, SA-250 for Revel 206's, XPA-1L for a Polk LSIM 704c center channel, hopefully to be replaced by a Revel center down the road sometime. So far, I have only used the XPA-1L to drive center channels and haven't had a chance to deploy them to drive the fronts, but I'm sure I will when I get caught up.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on them, when life slows down and you get around to it.
