Thank you for your help but just to clarify, your suggestion would be XDA-200 with XSP-1 and XDA-2? Yup. An XDA-2 to an XSP-1 then amplified by an XPA-200 would be quite an impressive system.

I just bought a XDA-2 Gen 2 for a really good price off EBay. I'm going to take advantage of the summer sale and pick up the amp from Emotiva. I hope a used XSP-1 comes up for sale as I really didn't want to spend that much for a new one.

I still recommend the KEFs. Use velcro (Industrial adhesive backing) to stick the speakers to the stands & they won't come off even if bumped by pets or kids. The KEFs, in my experience, image better than the Airmotivs (not that the Airmotivs are any slouch). Compare the reviews on the KEFs and the Airmotivs, though - The latter aren't "products of the year" for major magazines. The KEFs are and they got there the hard way - they earned it. The Emotiva speakers are excellent if you want powered speakers, but their ribbon tweeters aren't to my preferences. I also strongly suggest the Peachtree integrated. It is well made, well reviewed, and can sound solid-state or tube depending on your preferences and a flick of the switch. The integrated will be far more elegant than separates, and if you buy a used one, will hold its value well. If you want a stereo preamp with bass management, you've almost spent as much as the Peachtree, but you still don't have a DAC or power amps. I think the Peachtree's an unbeatable deal unless you need more power. But this isn't my system - it's yours. My tagline below sums up the truth of the matter! Cordially - Boom

Welcomes, leans!
On the XSP gen1 vs. Gen2, there is not much difference. They redid the circuit board but most people are saying they sound the same (both great!). On the outside, the gen 2 has black trim pieces at the sides vs. Aluminum finish.
Also, with the xda-2, unless you are going to use sources other than your computer, you don't really need the xsp-1. But it is nice to have if you want to use the xsp's bass mgmt.

I would give that a try and see what you think. If it works for you, roll with it!
