Can people post some pics of to what their OSD and GUI looks like on various AVR? I'm looking mainly at what options they have on screen for Eqing things.... for example my old sherbourn 7020 had parametric eq for each channel. Do most new avrs also do this kind of thing?

Well, actually the 7020 along with the UMC-1 have a graphic equalizer. The 7030 has a parametric EQ as do the UMC-200 and XMC-1.

The reason I ask is when I decide what im going to buy I would like to be able to tweak it to help response curves...
My old pioneer elite the on screen eq sucked. It only had a few bands and the lowest was 63hz

Especially if you plan to manually EQ the bass/subwoofer(s). The graphic models like that of the 7020 and UMC-1 just don't cut it IMHO.

Ok... so here is what I need help with then...
I need a new avr or processor... It must have preouts, a gui that let's me tweak settings while still listening (unlike the 7030) Xlr preouts would be even better or at least for the subs so I can run pro amps without using adapters 2 hdmi outs 7.1. I don't think I want atmos or the dtsx that's coming out. I also don't need 4k.
Is there any older avrs or processors that fit this besides the sherbourn 7020 that I had before and can't decide if I want it again

Very big difference especially if you want to tailor the bottom end. I know you like your bass and the typical graphic EQ just doesn't have enough adjustment possible. Unless perhaps you have several bands dedicated to the range between 20 and 120Hz or so for the subwoofer channel. I would much rather have a text based PEQ than a graphic EQ.

I could always get mini dsp or Sms1 again I suppose I have a miniDSP and I like it very much. I use it to get my two subs matched before running Dirac. But there is no tweaking while listening. Can the SMS do that?

No the sms can't do that but I like how it shows the new graph as you make small adjustments. It's very user friendly and since I don't like Rew I'll prolly get the sms1 again. As for tweaking on the fly I really only use that for the main speakers to adjust to my liking. I don't try to get it flat as long as it sounds good to me Actually the 7020 does everything I want it to do. Still contemplating getting one off the emporium. But waiting on a response from emotiva to see if it ever needs repaired would they still fix it for a fee. Plus it had .11 firmware and I can't remember the issues but I remember people wanting .14 which is what mine had

It's a little dated in features but it still sounds great. I think mine has the .11 firmware and heard it was very stable firmware.

I read that .11 was stable and to just leave it be.
