Lost 10 pounds in less than 3 weeks of workout training. The best never rest. The fight goes on for a new victory everyday. If not. Then I am already dead.

I have a very good friend going in for back surgery and she needed a voice and visual of encouragement. Done. I told her my health goal and talked to her this morning and her heart was warmed. I shared how much she is missed and loved at work. How it is not the same without her here. We all will go through some suffering at some point. No doubt. But to comfort and encourage a great friend is something I am only to happy to do. She is determined to reach her goal. Like me. So we pull for each other. The amassing of toys is fun sure, but helping someone through tough times is way more fulfilling. I know the surgery has a high element of risk. Of course she does too. But she feels strong by the people who care and love her. Warms my heart I have the privilege to know her. God speed and a fast recovery for my friend.

Nothing F---ing pisses me off more than not being able to get music when I actually have the time. This whole networked audio thing really sucks sometimes!

Nothing F---ing pisses me off more than not being able to get music when I actually have the time. This whole networked audio thing really sucks sometimes! What's wrong? Internet outage? Mark No.. Everything is local. I have a wired access point, and ethernet bridge in the same room (to get the signal to the other end). So Micro Rendu wired into the Ethernet Bridge and iPad as the control point with Linn Kazoo app. Music stored on a NAS on the main part of the network (the non-bridge) part. Sometimes I can see the microRendu, load music to it, but it just will not play. I say sometimes, it may only happen once or twice a year. It seems to be when the DHCP server give the mR a new Address (after a power outage or if someone accidently unplugs the bridge), the play pause control just doesn't work. I also can't get the device to work with a static IP. All I can do is power off the bridge, mR and iPad for a couple of hours. Then power the bridge on first, wait some time (I usually wait at least 15 minutes, but I'm sure I'd be ok after 2 minutes.), power on the mr, wait again, then the iPad. I just rarely get time to listen to music. Also, I have never owned a good CD player. I really should buy one, but I would almost never use it. I actually have a TT, but its on the fritz.

I am finding eBay immensely annoying. They have changed so much from the early days and not for the better. I know that I am not alone in criticizing the changes and dissatisfaction with the current system. The most recent aggravation is finding that after a long vacation from selling because of being disillusioned with eBay they are relisting things automatically with no option to turn this off. Then when they relist I have to go searching for the cancel listing option. I may never bother to list an item for sale again. Way to gain customer satisfaction there eBum.

A visit to the currently playing thread didn't fix the eBay crap but it sure helped me with an attitude adjustment. Thanks Boomzilla for the smile from "I don't look good naked anymore". 😀

The overly presumptuous fathead that tells you what to buy and like. Are you really kidding. Hey let me tell you who to marry. Let Keith tell you what amp or speaker to buy without knowing all the conditions and variables. Guess what? He can't. He can only make approximate recommendations on what you share with him. Still what he likes will differ to what you like. So are you going to blindly buy what he tells you? Of course not! Kind of stupid if you did. Fortunately Emotiva believes in the audition time in your listening space to hear if it meets all of your sensibilities, and tastes and so on.
I read so many internet postings of garbage in what is a colossal waste of bandwidth. I gave the correct answer this fellow for sure was not expecting. You are your own person. Stop listening to others tell you what you like!
My response to his post.
Since none is not a valid answer as it does not follow the desired question asked, we have two speakers more opposite than alike but just as valid depending on purpose of use, your tastes, and no one elses here. Which begs the question why you need the affirmation of your choice. The fun part of our hobby that we share I suppose. What is forgotten in most audio circles is who this system belongs too, let alone suggesting a product not even under consideration. So the net net of it is till you have these in your room, and on your gear all posts here are a bit dubious in value. Acoustics, genre of music, listening volume, and other considerations come into play. Notice no speaker recommendation from me, but instead get these speaker candidates in your home listening room, and you be the judge. No one should ever tell you what to like or buy. Your listening room, your money, your conditions. The only person that needs to be impressed is you. So last point, everyone here heard their recommendations in their environment, not yours. Their taste, what, how, and why they hear are different from your own sensibilities. So there you go. Get the candidates in your listening room and please share with us what you like and decided on.
Really get to helping and not being someone else's passion and sensibility. Yours is yours, theirs are theirs.

I guess those are smashed mashed potatoes, I hope they don't have lumps in them! I just returned to the supermarket some Reeser's pre-cooked and just heat garlic mashed potatoes. They were actually delicious but, yes, they had multitudes of small lumps. Yuck! My first mother-in-law was a horrible cook and her mashed potatoes always had big-ass lumps in them. The meat looks yummy.

Lost 10 pounds in less than 3 weeks of workout training. The best never rest. The fight goes on for a new victory everyday. If not. Then I am already dead. I'm impressed Vincent! I'm with you and also now fighting for a victory everyday to live longer. I'm motivated to blurt it out here. Here's my story. Some here might know I was first diagnosed with heart disease while in Vietnam, 1969. Over the years it got worse. Heart meds for 20 years, open heart valve repair in 1991, V-tach, permanent A-Fib/Coumadin for the last 25 years, large aortic aneurysm for 12 years, 4 years ago congestive heart failure. Shortness of breath and severe fatigue. In my visit last December my cardiologist said to lose weight if I wanted to make it another several years. I had been overweight for many years at 6-4 and 240-275 lbs. March 1st, 245 lbs, I'm on 10 heart meds, 8 of them prescription. I started on my own plan. Low sugar, no more sweets and chocolate. No alcohol or caffeine for last 30 years due to serious heart rhythm issues. Just a common sense diet, lots of fish, occasional red meat, skinless breasts (chicken that is ), fruits and veggies, nuts, olive oil, avocado, etc., basically what is called a Mediterranean diet. I also walk 90 minutes every single day. A month ago during a visit with the doc, he said my echo and other tests looked much better. My BNP test which measures CHF, 4 years ago was a whopping at 5527 (super high) and was down to 225, within normal range. Good boy Chuck! I feel great now 4.5 months after my start. I am energy infused and no longer sleep 12-14 hours per day. I hope maybe I can give some motivation and inspiration to any here who might need to exercise and loose weight due to serious health issues. It is a little difficult the first week or so but became a breeze thereafter. The big news, my weight today with only my underwear (the lightweight ones) and thin socks was: 203 lbs! (Down 42 lbs in 4.5 months.) I have more energy than that battery bunny. I still have heart disease and will have a update visit in 5 weeks. Should be more good news. Those of you who are significantly overweight like me, you can do it. Take care folks..

Serious question, being that you live in rainy Seattle, do you still do the 90 minute walk if it rains?
