Bright and sunny with a mild breeze, high of 75*, enjoying the sun! Winter in Louisiana, if you don’t like it just wait an hour!
My 1990 Briggs & Stratton motor is singing just fine after not running for + 20 years! I Learned to rebuild a carburetor via YouTube , Steve’s small engine repair! I’m chipping with my new/old chipper! First carburetor rebuild. 😁

(All politics aside please - if you don't like my personal blurt it out please move on, thanks.)
My wife was first diagnosed with advanced stage 4 metastasized lung cancer in the summer of 2012. She is now into her 4th year of remission/NED (no evidence of disease). We feel a close bond/kinship with any person who is diagnosed with this terrible disease, regardless of their views on any subject. At the time we found out, the 5 years survival rate was 1-2%. Recently the 5 year rate with Opdivo or Opdivo/Vervoy and other of the new immunology type cancer drugs is approaching 50% for 5 years. Forever thanks to Brystol-Meyers Squibb; to the Japanese Noble Prize researcher, Professor Tasuku Honjo, who first identified the immunology key to cancer and to Ono Pharmaceutical of Japan who developed the anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody Opdivo (Nivolimab. --- ONO 4538), originally for advanced melanoma.

God Speed Rush Limbaugh! When people on either sides of political isles cheer when someone dies/diagnosed with a terminal illness it’s one of the sickest things I have ever seen. And it happens on both sides, and the other side always fakes outrage.

God Speed Rush Limbaugh! So glad Noriko is still doing well. I wish my Aunt had discovered a similar cure. She was diagnosed just before Noriko, and she did not get the benefit of the more advanced treatments. We miss her a lot - especially my Mom who used to spend so much time with her sister (my aunt). My Mom's mental condition (dementia) went down quickly after Aunt Doris died. The two did so much together that used their brains (puzzles, visits to museums, games, etc.), and once Aunt Doris was gone - Mom didn't have that. And, her mental decline was rapid. I always wonder what Mom would be like today if Aunt Doris had not died. As for Rush - I have never liked him from a politics point of view, but I do wish him the best in his health. Mark

People who think they know schiit, and get caught hanging out to dry. And the let Vincent catch them. What the actual???!!! As my signature says, stupid as a fox. Vincent would even tell them "you're gonna get caught, and it ain't gonna be good!". But no!!! They evoke that hey watch this! Mentality and go down. Hard! I try for them and try to save them. It goes......" Power....Power....more power. Eject...eject....eject!!! But to no avail. I tries and I tries. God I love Rochester. But they crash and burn and even do a flat spin 'cause they can! Schiit! Well alrighty then. Next basket case please!

WOW, Breaking News! Just announced, for the very first time in the long history of The Academy Awards, a woman (aka female) was announced as the winner of the Academy for the best (male) actor in a leading role. Historic! It's been a long time coming. I'm so happy! BTW: What the hell kind of drugs was Joaquin Phoenix on? BTW #2: Billy Porter looked so divine! BTW #3: Billie Eilish sang a very nice soft solemn version of Yesterday as they showed photos of those who had passed in the previous year. BTW #4: Eminem, one of the worst excuses for a talented human being ever; long time drug addict, violent, abusive, obscene and misogynistic lyrics plus subtle suggestions for assassination of two Presidents. After a noise/discordant filled performance at the Oscars he received a standing ovation. Good grief! BTW #5: On the other hand, Renée Zellweger looked very classy in a beautiful gown, although I deducted 5 points for the off should on one side. To be continued (oh no!).

The honor of the competition is what makes me who I am. I never under estimate my opponent. A youngster's mistake. I am in direct competition with another coworker and I like him very much. We can still be friends, but once on the air battlefield I am going to get on his six and Fox 2 or use my other skills to be the victor. If you don't play to win, why do we compete? I don't ever want this to be less than honorable though. Fair play and integrity have to be here too. I am not winning a political office after all. Every month we are within a whiskers difference. I mean 100ths of a second. It doesn't get any better. Something I haven't got to experience in a long time. I love it. It completes me. I can live that I was beaten by the best. But beating the best is not half bad either.
My manager loves this healthy competition as long as no one gets hurt the wrong way. We had an incident that might jeopardize our competition. I wrote my manager and shared my feelings and factually what occurred. I will always deliver my best. It is how I am. Sometimes its enough. Sometimes it is not. I can't control it either way the outcome.
But I will never give up. I will relish the fight and the competition to improve the team. Staying static is going backwards. I know someone who thinks staying the same is okay. Could explain why we disagree just about on everything. If everything stays the same and I am not growing, then I am already dead.
