It is amazing even today that many will pound you for what you like vs. what they like and make this real strong passionate argument to go their way. F them. If they don't have the presence of mind to know that everyone is different and won't necessarily agree with them, too bad!!
Get over it!! People are the way they are. Some folks don't need nor want to be changed. Deal with it!

I was talking with friends about today’s youth, and all of a sudden – a book arrived from the National Eagle Scout Association for my son. To my surprise, this little bit about my son was in the book. I could not be more proud of him and how he tells his story. He became a role model for many youth following after him, just as he had his positive role models on his trail to Eagle and beyond. He’s busy slogging through Purdue Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering classes along with Navy ROTC drills and Naval Science courses. This summer he’s going on a “cruise” with the Navy. My wife and I are very much pacifists, but we understand the need for our defense in limited use. If there’s anyone I want as a Navy Officer – I trust my son to be a compassionate and practical leader. We already had the talk I wanted to have, and he’s quite clear – he will not follow what he believes to be an illegal order and will argue against them. He “gets it” on many other levels also. I’ve watched him lead as a Scout, both as youth and adult, and he’s a leader others will follow because they want to – not because they have to. I was not nearly this mature at age 20. Forgive me my proud father moment…cheers to all the youth who take the opportunities given. Mark

Novisnick, what happened? Did you get a concussion hitting your forehead with the palm of your hand? I feel empathy for you. I too have days like that. I hope your fatigue and pain vanquish quickly. If you don't feel better please take some drugs man and call me in the morning. Dr. ChuckieNut, MN

It sounds to me like you've cultivated a thoughtful. responsible leader. God be with him and please thank him for his service. Your pride in him is quite justified. I have a son who has chosen to dedicate his life to emergency medicine and has received commendation for his leadership. My wife and I are equally proud & we echo your cheers.

We get wrapped up in all kinds of things in our forums. Politics, audio gear, video gear and the next new widget of gadget. Well I am going to share about something very human and near and dear to all of us. Our family. I have a friend I worked with here in TN. and he is a good guy. His Mother had passed away February 28th this 2020. I really like this fellow allot. He helped me allot on my computer assembly issues at the job we worked together. He is kind and selfless and wants to always help. Well, I want to do the same for him and ask that our great kind folks here take a moment and pray for my friend in his time of need. The power of prayer can never be underestimated. I am amazed how much you can change. There are people that will say that is not true. Power to them in our wonderful land that allows choice and freedoms to feel that way. But at this time, I am hoping spiritually we help him out. I found out about this a while ago here at work. It is never a good thing to cry at work, but so be it. If we cannot be in touch with our feelings, nothing really matters then does it. I thank everyone here for the well wishes and prayers for my friend.

Thanks to everyone here in the lounge and a big THANKS to Big Dan & Co. for providing it. Y’all have made waiting in the doctors office so much more tolerable! ❤️ And now, back to your regularly scheduled postings. 😏

Been up since 6am today. The local news has been nothing but Brady. Not a word about anything else. Nothing. Just Brady.

The stress from covid 19 getting you sick from something else may weaken you and covid 19 finishes you off. You may never die directly from covid 19. Think about that. Think about all the stress everyone is under, you too! I have been feeling it, and feeling stress and not coping weakens you possibly making you another casualty. I talk allot at work with people to help me cope. Being in I.T. the stupidity and panic is off the chain. No one is thinking straight and I am the last bastion normalcy in I.T. where I work. I make people calm, laugh, make fun of others way too wound tight about covid 19. We will make it. It would be nice if you too could join us happy and healthy. A personal choice. Your choice.
