Does anyone know how to report bugs for the XMC-1 remote app for Apple IOS? The link for the developer takes me to the Emo site. I spoke to Keith and was informed that Richard Lesniak ( contractor) is responsible for the app. Not Emotiva. There is no contact info for Richard in the Apple App store.
Perhaps coincidental but since upgrading my IPhone and Ipad to current IOS v 12.2, I can no longer use the app to control the XMC-1 when playing Blu Ray ( 5.1 audio selected) videos on my Oppo 103. When the video & audio starts, the remote app stops displaying info ( IE input, audio etc) and you can no longer control the XMC-1. Selecting the power button on the app does not restore it. To bring back the app, I have to either stop the Blu Ray or switch the Blu Ray to stereo audio. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. No difference. Any guidance would be appreciated.

That is LAME on Emotiva’s part. Don’t care how it was developed. They advertised the capability and should support it. Probably an issue for the RMC1, too...believe the API is the same.

Well good news.. I was contacted by the Emotiva team (Thanks Tim) late this afternoon. They are taking a look into the issue...

If Mr. Lesniak developed the app as a paid contractor for Emotiva, the product is Emotiva's. This is a head-shaker.

This app is now hard-broken on iOS. When will it be fixed? I use an iPad to control my RMC-1 - so this is really annoying.

It’s also been 18 months since the issue was first reported. Come on Emotiva...please give us better customer service than this. The app should have been fixed within days of it breaking.

I’ll second the question — is there a plan to update, or at least fix, the iOS app? A reply from Emotiva would be greatly appreciated! I am a big fan of Emotiva. I would like the company to remain competitive in the A/V processor segment.

The programmer DOES have plans to update the app... but I do not have a specific time frame. iPadOS 14.x broke the App on most newer iPads, iOS 14.x broke the newest iPhones. Not sure of the Android status. It would be nice to know if the App will ever be back.

It seems to me that updating the app once every 5 years is not entirely unreasonable. If the current developer has lost interest, perhaps another would be up to the task?

There is now a new (Version 3) Remote App for all Emotiva processors and I’ve started a new thread for this new version. Discussion on the 1.x version can continue here, but let’s move this topic there unless you must run this older version. The Emotiva Remote App V3 Thread
