I wouldn't be surprised if 3.1 is needed for everything to work. Keith has already responded to a thread of mine about the XMC-1 not properly handling various parts of the network control protocol. He said it would be fixed in a future firmware relase. -tm No wonder the app has taken so long to get started on. Big sigh....yet another firmware update in the future to wait for? I hope he means 3.1 and I hope it's going to really be this week. I know 3.1 will fix some IR issues and think it will fix associated IP problems, hopefully today will be the day. On the App Store it list iOS 7 as the minimum for this App.

iOS7? Wasn't that 2 years ago?! If you look at the App's on your iPhone or iPad, you'll see that iOS 7 is a common minimum. Some older devices work better on the older iOS, and developers don't want to limit their audience by requiring the latest version. However the better Apps now take advantage of the features in iOS 9, yet still maintain compatibility with iOS 7.

I'm referring to the min firmware on the xmc-1 Sorry, I misread your post. I think we can assume that 3.1 will be required for a fully functional IR and IP command set.

I tried tapping on the blank empty spot to the right at the top and was able to change inputs, but didnt know which i would get. Just adding to the info base. Same in portrait mode, blank spot below tuner changes inputs when touching different spots.

This is a question for those who have an ipad. Is it possible to have multiple apps open at once side by side on the desktop at the same time. I have multiple apps for my equipment and would like to have access to them at the same time, is this possible.

I have multiple apps for my equipment and would like to have access to them at the same time, is this possible. They could be if the apps were written to support split screen mode. So far there are a handful of apps that do this but more are coming. As of now when I use the Emotiva remote app I can split screen with mail, messages and some news apps and safari. And you can have two apps open. Not more. Mel

I would love to comment as my iPad will support split apps but the XMC-1 APP crashes as soon as I hit the power button

As melm said there aren't a lot of split screen apps yet, I count about two dozen on my iPad. None of my 'Eqipment' apps are split screen yet, meaning they can share the screen with a split screen app, but they can't be 'the splitter'. Here's the XMC-1 App with this thread in Safari splitting the screen.

I also have the orange power button even though XMC-1 is on:
Video Standby On, Same Network bridged to second router (hard wired), iPhone 6s / iOS 9.0.2

This behavior has been much discussed. It appears to have been fixed in firmware 3.1.

FWIW, I still prefer the original Emotiva remote. #2 is the PC app, but that's currently not working

I just installed both the iPad and iPhone apps. It seems that Zone 2 is not really working for me - it's *really* laggy and the volume doesn't adjust. Well, it does if I hold the slider all the way up/down *and* also contrive to hit the arrow at the same time.
p.s. this seems be the same problem that RSavage noted on the second page of the discussion. I will add that the zone 2 functions are working fine on my Harmony Ultimate.
p.p.s. I also have the 'orange' power button issue on both iPhone 5S (latest FW) and a iPad mini retina (latest FW).

Nope - 3.0 (I'm not one of the chosen ones).
It worked perfectly until I used the iOS app, and now it throws a parsing error when I try to connect.
I'm going to try a power cycle on the XMC-1 and the PC to see if it resolves things.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your program, Chuck!

I don't believe that the iOS App is correctly closing the UDP ports on closing. I'll load the iPad version tonight and see!
