It would be interesting to inspect this unit to make sure the tubes are in fact part of the circuit and not there just for a glowing show.....

How is this possible before EmoGlass? This is kind of neat, now Emo has to step it up

There are several tube products out there (Chinesse) that have claimed the same just to have people find out later that the tubes are not even connected to the circuit and are there with only the fillaments connected so they glow and fool customers...

But if the customer thinks it sounds better and is happy with that then that glow it produces inside of them that matches the glow of the tubes is all that matters.

This is a pre amp? I t would be cool if one can run it mono, and use two for stereo.

Doesn't say anything about bridging if that's what you were thinking about using it mono. The specs are pretty good, 25W x 2 into 4ohms, 0.1% THD (doesn't say at what power), AptX bluetooth. seems fun for a little system.

No. That's not at all like it. It has a USB and costs outrageously more! Plus, it tries to foist another analog input on us. Besides, Nobsound sounds comical to me.

No. That's not at all like it. It has a USB and costs outrageously more! Yeah but that's the price to pay for the one on top of the heap, based on how they describe their own product: The best-selling and most cost-effective tube amplifier in the World. Every ten people buy tube amplifier, eight people choose him!So... that means of all the folks in the Lounge who own tube equipment (of which there seem to be many), 80% have chosen him!

Its about time someone marketed a less expensive tube amp. And thats the rub - serious audiophools will reject it based solely on the price. Much as they do with Emo gear this tube amp will get the cold shoulder from that same crowd. No doubt this is made in China. Probably has a very tidy profit margin for the manufacturer & importer and there is nothing wrong with that - its what drives innovation. Just like we used to do in the USA!

Interesting amp. I wonder what the solid state portion is like. Maybe at the heart of this thing beats something like the Lepai LP-2020A Tripath amp?
