Hi,
First post, I just picked up a xpa-2 and a xpa-5, both gen 2's. I am needing to know what is the best RCA cables i need to get to connect it to my Denon AVR. Some people prefer bluejeans and some prefer monoprice. I have bought from monoprice before and would like to go with them again.
Can anyone please suggest or link me to the best cables that I will need from monoprice to connect my amps to my receiver?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

DIY cables . Bluejeans RCAs are very nice as well if you want a turnkey solution.

Monoprice RCA plugs suck! They either fit good or don't. Based on my experience I would avoid the cheap monoprice RCA cables. Ask me how I know...

The Emotiva cables that is the X series in both balanced, and single ended RCA are great cables. Though there are an amazing number different RCA cables that are reasonable beyond what is mentioned here. Main items. Quality terminations, great shielding, and everything else will fall into place. You know, 5 nines of purity in the copper and the usual. It is real easy really. I had good luck with too many to name. Only a few in my travels have given me pause in recommendation.

I've used multiple monoprice rca without a single issue and they are very affordable. That would be my recommendation unless you want to spend a little bit more on your cables.

The ones I have used and put a pic on my post sumply are not that good. In addition to potentially have the ends failure they are also too stiff and not so good to use in tight spaces...

Agreed that cable management is difficult with monoprice rca. This is a fair statement. I haven't had any faulty or "bad" cables from them, but you are also right. It can definitely happen

I had two defective XLR cables from Monoprice which I discovered because the output was noticeable lower using one versus another properly working XLR. Monoprice XLR's look good and have great prices and I was surprised to find two of them that were bad. I replaced them with BJC's. All my RCA cables are also BJC. The Monoprice RCA's are too inconsistent with the connections - some are too loose and some are too tight.

I've read reviews about some balanced cables from monoprice to even being connected (solder)incorrectly. I forgot exactly what the issue was, but I tested each of the three pins with a multimeter (I'm not technical so I don't recall what it was I was told to measure... I think it was the resistance) and I discovered they weren't wired correctly. What first brought it to my attention was that the soundstage was shifted to one side when listening to stereo - i.e., one channel was louder than the other. When I played a mono source through both, that confirmed the imbalance and when I switched the cables then the other channel was louder. I got an extra XLR I had lying around to replace it and that one was defectively wired also.
