Might be a little off topic but I just picked up a panamax 5300m power conditioner and need to know which outlets/banks on the panamax to plug my devices into. I have 2 emotiva amps, denon avr, blu ray player, cable box, apple tv and amazon fire tv. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Emotiva recommends that you plug their amps directly into the wall receptacle.

Emotiva recommends that you plug their amps directly into the wall receptacle. But that is most certainly not always the best. Trust me, I know.

If into the panamax, which banks? I would plug them directly to the wall but if not, then into the high current outlets on the Panamax. If those outlets do not limit the current that runs through them then it ought to be the same as plugging them directly to the wall (theoretically).

Thanks I have made many a post here about my experience, but I will reiterate. When I first got my XPA-2 and hooked it up, plugged straight into the wall, I could not believe how bad it sounded compared to my Denon receiver. Even my wife was like, this is horrible. Everything was intensely harsh, sharp, and instantly fatiguing. After hours of listening I was ready to ship it back the very next day. But as a last ditch effort I plugged it into my PF-60's high current amp socket and whalla, back to good sound. I could not determine any difference in sound between my Denon or the XPA-2, but at least it was all back to sounding good. I only kept the XPA-2 because of what I know to be better electronics inside, better build quality, more power for future speaker upgrades (gives more options), and the man chest beating bragging rights factor. And I know you know all about that last one because your speakers certainly do not "need" those amps you have.

Correct. In general, we suggest that our amps be plugged directly into the wall, because they don't need (or especially benefit from) extra filtering or protection. If anything, if the outlets really are wired any differently internally (which they may or may not be), and you do want to connect your amps to the power strip, then the amplifiers MUST go on the high-current ones. Pretty much only large monitors and amplifiers count as "high current". Some power filter vendors specify certain outlets as being for "analog" or "digital" components, but I'm not seeing that here, so they're probably all the same. Also, on some units, the banks are isolated from each other, in which case it might make more sense to use one outlet from each bank if you can do so without running out. Again, I doubt it makes any difference but, if it does, then that would be the preference.)
