My DC-1 cannot be switched on today. I can hear the "click" sound (power relay) when switching the power on at the black. Please help. After turning on the rear switch and hearing the click, you should then be pressing the right volume/standby knob on the front in once.

Anyway, pressing the right volume/standby knob on the front in once cannot switched on also.

Certainly, the remote on function was pressed and stilled not switching on. However, I noticed the machine is warm after the power at the back is switched on after half an hour.

Maybe the fuse? You could open it and check the 1 Amp fuse inside.

However, I pressed the optical button which is connected from a TV (DC-1 used as a preamp), there is sound from the speakers. It seems the DC-1 is working but no led display.

Check for loose connectors at the display panel. If that fails to fix it, a call into Emotiva is in order, I'm afraid.

However, the cable is folded and bent beneath the led front panel . I can choose the on/off and inputs via the remote and knobs on the front. The only problem is the front panel led is off.

I will email for returned material authorization number (“RMA”).

Certainly RMA is one option but talking to support staff may lead to some more things they can suggest. I understand if calling is not convenient due to time differences. At the very least, explain everything to them in an email, detailing the steps you've already taken and see if there are any more suggestions from them.

Yes call....don't email. I've read several reports on the forum where the email system leads to problems or delays.

They may be able to send you the front panel parts and you can get someone cable to install it for you. I've only seen a DC-1 with an intermittent RCA connection.
Where are you located?

Is my DC-1 under 5 years warranty? Do I need to pay for the front panel parts? If it is the cable problem, I may buy a AWM 20624 ribbon flex cable 1 mm pitch 25 PIN (Not sure 1 mm pitch?) locally. BTW, I am in Hong Kong.
