Your going to need some Umph to drive these I think, 4 ohms 88 db efficiency Nick, I figure KeithL will be talking to this but being 4 ohms is not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes that can mean the designer has just done a good job tuning the speaker. 88 db is also not that bad. Looking at the specs these are good size towers and deserve proper amplification. Should be no problem driving these speakers with say my UPA-2.

I am here to tell you that my ears are a arms length away from the powered Airmotiv's for hours everyday and the sound that they deliver are sublime. No lack of words either !

While I'm a fan of the Airmotiv folded ribbon tweeter and I'm sure these speakers will sound quite good, I believe Teaman is very much like myself in that we've come to appreciate the sound of Paul Klipsch's horn loaded speaker designs.

Absolutely LC. When I think of how awesome this pair of KLF 30s sound at any volume it almost brings tears to my eyes. I', sorry but 800 watt power handling and 102db sensitivity with a three way horn loaded speaker is nearly impossible to beat in my mind. 92 lbs each that I hope I won't have to move ever again. Bad enough when I have to move these behemoth Emotiva amps but at least they fit in my arms.

Love to near a set of real Klipsch speakers in my room, Ive only had the joy of their lessor models.

My Legend owners manual says they're 102 lbs, so I think you must be stronger than you think! My KLF-20's are 87 lbs, and I have found that using the smaller sets of furniture mover/sliders under the 4 feet make for much easier moving on my wood flooring without scratching.

Y'all this is a airmotiv tower! What's not to love? I wouldn't mind if they had a flagship unit with twin eight inch bass drivers and 5 inch mids.

Sharpen your pencil because you'll be writing a detailed review! With pics! I have a speaker switch for just such an occasion! It'll be a side by side with my Paradigms and exact same gear.

I think you're going to find they are something special, I'm really glad you'll have something you really like to compare them to. Now me, I just move one pair out and put a different pair in, but I buy speakers that even a senior citizen like me can switch out on a good day. My Emotiva buddy for life snacker switches Klipsch La Scala's, and Martin Logans but he can do that.
While some here salivate at the thought of a T-10 tower, I salivate for the T-1 because I pride myself in picking equipment that excels in performance and that exceeds expectations. Two of the three pairs of speakers I own, actually all three, are excellent entry level products and they are so good that they are chosen to introduce these companies to the world.
Magnepan MMG's, and Tekton Designs M-Lores, and even my JBL ES-30 bookshelf speakers were good enough to get my Emotiva buddy for life to purchase a pair of HSU bookshelf speakers. Just stating the facts.
I believe the T-1 is going to be the same type of product it is going to be so good that people will be compelled to try the next level. If it's that good, and I believe it will be, then you've simply got to own a pair.
I'm putting them in the ring with what I consider the best in the world at this price point and I truly believe Emotiva will be equal to them, but I'm wondering will the T-1 be as successful. Time will tell.
Nothing wrong with wanting the best. I get the best it's just on a different level.
88 db efficiency at 4 ohms is very close to MMG's 87db at 4 ohms even my 50 watts a channel amp can drive them with no problem. Besides at four ohms most power amps are double the 8 ohms power . With all due respect to the big power amps, I believe the T-1's will benefit from the extended headroom, but I think my 250 watt a channel XPA-100's will provide plenty .

For all of you Klipsch fans. The Palladium line of speakers is on sale until the end of the month for over 50% off. Must be going to discontinue them. Buy now or forever be sorry. The P-37s are now about the same price as the MSRP on the RF-7ii.
