I live in north Atlanta which is one of the most prosperous places in the country. There is more new movie theaters than you can shake a stick at around here. The only thing I get sound wise is it is very loud. I go to the theater because of the big picture screen you get lost in. I bought my receiver for $100 and five speakers for $250 at a circuit city going out of business / close out sale and the sound in my living room is whole lot better. Oh explosions and stuff like that have more impact at the theater but I have my recliner right in the sweet spot of those five speakers and would not trade what I hear in a theater for it. Am I missing something here ? My son is going to see it Friday, but I would rather see it at home. And we are going to Atlanta between Christmas and New Years to see my Mom and Sis (near Northridge/400 and Peachtree Industrial/Winters Chapel). Knowing my sis, she will want to go any number of boring synthetic indoor places to spend time, such as a movie theater or a mall. I am a natural outdoor guy...hoping to avoid all theaters and malls...worst case,I could be talked into the High Museum. Or maybe the Boneyard Grill! Better yet, maybe my son and I can find a place to hike a trail outside of town! Anything to avoid the asphalt/concrete jungle that is Atlanta. Mark

Where in the world do you come up with that statement? Atlanta, most prosperous in the country? OK. Whatever you say... I know that Cobb County during Gingrich's time as speaker received more federal money than any other county in the US. They are the home of Lockheed-Martin. OK. Gingrich was over 20 years ago. Further, what does receiving Federal aid have to do with being "prosperous". Lastly, Lockhead-Martin has 572 facilities, spread over 500 cities, located in all 50 states. They also have international locations in 70 nations around the planet. Their headquarters (home) happen to be in Bethesda MD, not Cobb County. Source: www.lockheedmartin.com/us/who-we-are.html Nope, not a mention of Georgia.

They employ 7500 people in the Atlanta Area in well paying jobs. Enough thread derailment from me. May the force be with you.

For those that see it early I'd like to know if it is appropriate for a 5 and or 7 year old. Because of the marketing my kids are all over me to see this movie. I am hesitant because well it's rated PG-13 and I think that it may be too adult for them. I read one review that says not for little kids, just seeing if others agree with this. My 7 year old was grossed out and didn't make it through empire strikes back on Blue Ray. He is actually quite a gentle soul. www.commonsensemedia.org/movie-reviews/star-wars-episode-vii-the-force-awakens

I went to see it yesterday evening in our little movietheater in our small town (4500 people). The movie was shown in 3D. Great movie, lot's of humor and all the old characters show up one after another. And some new of course :-)
9 out of 10!
May the force be with you all and enjoy the movie!

I am definitely leaning towards not having my children see it at this time. The whole damn society is hell bent on having kids be adults as quickly as possible. Innocent children need to be innocent children.

Being extra cautious not to hear anything about the movie. I am looking into when and where to get a comfortable seat up near the top center. There is a new IMAX at the North Point mall a couple miles away which may be just the Ticket.

I live on Roberts dr. across the street from this. Exit Northridge off 400 to Dunwoody Place to Roberts dr. You live within about a mile of my Mom! I cross Roberts going from my sister's to my Mom's via Dunwoody Club to get to Spalding to Pitts! If you see a big cherry red Suburban with a cat-in-the-hat stick figure family on the back & Ohio plates cruising around between Christmas and New Year's, that's me (or my wife). Thanks for the link...maybe my son and I will get to stretch our legs! Mark

There is an albino hawk and I know where the beaver is in the morning. You will think your in the Appalachian mountains in these woods and there are not pictures that can prepare you for how cool the river is in this location. This park has the best part of the river period. I have seen the rest and this is the best. On a normal day there will be a dozen to three dozen Fly fishermen and you can go right out into the middle of the river on huge rocks and not get your feet wet. Oh ! there are the caves.

My wife, son and I are going to see it tonight in Dbox!!..can't wait. Dbox seats are assigned so there's no waiting in long lines. The only drag is that because of the shootings hear in southern California(San Bernardino is about an hour way) we are not allowed to dress in costumes. Should still be an excellent night non the less.

Ok I will just say this...I wish like hell I didn't give away, throw away, light on fire, throw like they were flying, burn with a homemade hairspray flamethrower, blow-up with fire crackers, attach to bottle rockets, shoot with a BB gun all those damn STAR WARS TOYS THAT I HAD WHEN I WAS A KID! If I had all of them that I had from the late 70's I probably could have sold them and paid to have a private screening of the latest installment at Skywalker Ranch with George Lucas and JJ Abrams feeding me popcorn!

I FINALLY saw it, and I really enjoyed it. I won't go so far as saying it is a great/favorite movie...I actually would not say that about any of the other movies in the series either. But, I do enjoy the series and I enjoyed this one as much as any of the others.
My wife also enjoyed it. It is also clear how they have set the stage for several others to come.
