I was not sure where to place this, and could not find much through the search feature.
Does anyone own this? Has anyone tried this with the DC-1?
What are your thoughts especially with regards to the phono amp section.
I have the XSP-1 gen 2, and I also have the XPS-1 separate that I used with my various other integrated amps that I have had.
Just wondering, if I should spring for this for a mini office system. I am on the waiting list for the AM6S's and would like to take advantage of the sale price and my emo discount club while I still can.
thoughts and comments?

The only person I have heard who has one is Wizardofoz. I don't recall him posting anything about it. Maybe you could reach out to him.
On the Emo discount club, I thought that was gone?

dwwjr56 I have the DC-1 connected to my PC using USB. The DC-1 has one analog input and I needed two. I got the SP-1 to use for any analog inputs for my PC system. I have not used the Phono preamp yet so sorry no help there. It is the same Phono preamp as the XSP-1 and XPS-1. The unit is solid and silent with analog inputs. There is a lot to say for having dead silent analog inputs. Every stand alone RCA plastic switch splitter I have had was hum city. I enjoy having the SP-1 under the DC-1 to raise the DC-1 to a comfortable height for operating the Input and Volume. I have the remote sitting on top of the DC-1 and both units respond to On and Off on the remote at the same time without having to pick up the remote. No trigger required and the SP-1 analog inputs respond to the DC-1's remote. There is a remote also supplied for the SP-1.

While I am not currently using the SP-1, I will treasure it as was a birthday gift from Dan when I made my pilgrimage to sunny downtown Franklin. Perfect with my DC-1 - which my wife loves too!!!
If the design is anything to go by its basically a relay switched RCA selector for 3 inputs and an XPS-1 on a 4th. Hard to go wrong if you need some extra inputs and the IR remote works with the DC-1 perfectly. I might even mod the SP-1 one day to have a trigger output for turning on the amps. I have also tried it with the Mini-X A100 to use as input selection and phono input but needed the 2 Mini-X's for another project (LX-Mini's)
I will get around to using it but am awaiting the same the form factor D class mono blocks (or at least looks) or stereo unit to match it.

Awesome setup Axis, that is exactly what i had in mind for mine. I would also find a place for a turntable. Wish i hadn't sold my extra turntable now, but i have a few others hanging around i can use, but i don't want to ruin the vinyl so looks like new cartridges are in order. I am on the waiting list for the AM6s's and by the looks of your setup the 5's are huge. I may have to rethink the order.
Thank you also klinemj, and wizardofoz, btw nice birthday gift!

Very nice Axis. I wonder what kind of swithes they use. I'm looking for a silent mechanical keyboard. Which I guess may be a bit of a oxymoron.

I have the MX Brown switches which are medium to light action. Garbulky, I recommend you look at the Ducky Shine Series. Do some research on the different color MX switches and if you can, go try the feel of different switches. My Browns are not that loud but you are right none are silent. It is worth the sound.

I ordered a SP-1 along with the RK-1 rack mount kit just before my E-club expired on Dec 18. My intention was to get a DC-1 later and mount it with the matching SP-1 in the double faceplate of the RK-1. When I placed the order over the phone, i was told that the DC-1 will mount to the RK-1, but that there was no system for mounting the SP-1 even though it will fit the opening. Guess I will have to try double stick tape to mount the SP-1. Emo states that the SP-1 was designed to enhance the DC-1, but there is no mounting system for the double faceplate rack mount??? Overlooked, or poor planning? I'll just have to jury-rig it. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Thanks;
-Ken-

Hi I've had my SP-1 for a little over 5 months and last night something blew it's lid off looks to be an opamp looking at it through the vented grill on top . Anyone else have this problem little disappointed but they don't make the parts so not overly ripped by it ? If someone could confirm the 8 pin ( 4 each side) is an opamp and if you can see the no on it please I'd be grateful. Actually it says IC1 on it so on second thoughts might be proprietary.

Yes I know that , I have a close friend who has the same model so I'm just trying to get my head around it in case his goes without warranty protection.
