Android-XDA-1-Amplifier connection question

I'm trying to throw together a temporary system using some odds and ends I have lying around. I thought I'd use my XDA-1 as a preamp with an older power amp and an Android tablet. If I connect the Android to the XDA using a Y cable how would I connect the amp and XDA? Or, since the XDA only has one pair of RCAs do I need to do something completely different. Sorry for asking such a simple question that I should know the answer to but what the hell I'm getting old! Thanks.

This may work -

Connect your android to headphone out via the headphone out, using something like this :

and one of these:

into your XDA 1's USB (B)  in port.

Connect your XDA 1 to your amp via RCA or XLR out 

LOWER THE VOLUME  ON BOTH DEVICES.

After you hook everything up and verify it works, keep the volume level on the android device low (not off - just low) and raise the volume level on the XDA 1 to full (-80) 
Then  adjust the volume with the android device.

Thanks for the information. I'll let you know how it works out. I'll have to order the parts of course. Even with a million cables lying around I still never have what I need.
