This finely done effort chronicles the epic financial meltdown of the home mortgage crisis starting 2 years before it's crash. It's presented in an offbeat and sometimes 3rd person narrative as the movie tries to explain some of the nomenclature of the financial world in laypersons terms. It is really well done, very well acted with a top notch ensemble including Steve Carell, Brad Pitt and Christian Bale. You will love this flick but probably seethe with anger as you see the fraud and abuse of the financial system and how a chosen few made billions while others lost it all.
Great transfer to blue ray - one of the best. The SQ is exemplary, while not overdone with big boom but rather a lot of useful information in the rear channels and brilliantly mixed. Very nice.
A great movie that you will love to hate.
