I woke up yesterday and eagerly read the reviews. To my surprise it got terrible terrible reviews. Just abyssmal. I thought oh no. I was a big fan of Zack Snyder and liked every one of his movies except for sucker punch which was just so so really.
Anyway I went to the theaters and saw it in IMAX. And it was very good. Imo this was the only movie that thought very hard other than say the dark night. It wasn't a pop corn flick. It wasn't "fun" like the Avengers or Gaurdians of the Galaxy. It was if Zack Snyder made a superman film in the style of watchmen. That was exactly what it was imo. And he delivered very well.
True there are some nits to pick like both characters being violent with their powers. But I could see why they would. The other movies had them basically magically winning without being violent. But in a more realistic vision, there would absolutely have to be ugly things the ywould have to do. And so that made sense to me.
The sound was UTTERLY phenomenal in Imax. Whenever there was fighting you could feel the incredible power of the characters come through.
Enjoyed it very much.

Ben Affleck as batman..... What more needs to be said ? Haven't had a chance to watch this yet, but Ben kinda ruins it already for me. That was my thoughts exactly but my son wanted to see it so I took him. Ben actually did a good job as Batman. The overall story telling was a bit disjointed unless you are a true DC geek and got the references. But if you were not (and I had to look some up myself) they did a bad job of not explaining much. Wonder Woman's action scene was pretty cool. She was a badass. So while this one wasn't as epic as I would like I'm actually looking forward to the individual movies that will come out now.

I thought Ben did a great job as batman and the movie was pretty entertaining for the comic fan.

The Dark Knight trilogy is my favorite "super hero" franchise because of the dark anti bubblegum nature. Thanks Gar.. I'm glad Affleck stepped up in this one then..

Did I mention Wonder Woman was pretty hot? In a serious note I went there to watch a movie and that is exactly what I got. I am not a critic so I watch a movie from the point of view of a little kid. I bet you ask most kids if they liked the movie and 100% are going to say yes!

The only complain I have is that I would've much rather watched the movie in two channel! All those boom and boom can be very distracting....

I don't think anyone can compalin Ben Affleck doing Batman. I thought it was the worst idea. But it wasn't at all. In Daredevil I felt he was pretending. in this one, he was much more believable. Though he doesn't yell, he was always so angry! Also I was worried it would be very crammed. Like there was way too much stuff happening. This was not the case. They had an idea and they took their time. The film had ooodles of style. This was more a stylistic movie than man of steel. A big watchmen feel. Though man of steel had a lighter heart to it. Also Wonderwoman was excellent. When she showed up people started cheering and whooping. The music was great too. It's like this movie lived on great intro music for whoever happened to show up! Also of note. The batmobile...though you really couldn't see it had probably the best action scenes even when compared to the dark knight. However you could see a lot more with the dark knight. So it's a toss up. But in terms of action, the batmobile gave it its best. Very scary vehicle. Also...the motion. I felt the speed of the characters was showcased much better.

If you wait the movie will move to the lower budget theaters where they can't afford quality spund systems. The immersivness takes back seat.. You might enjoy it more there. I was surprised to even see you went to see it with so many channels of audio..

We viewed this movie in 3D at one of our many local area theaters on Sunday afternoon. It's funny how I never really liked Ben Affleck and would avoid 99% of his movies. Like many other people, the thought of him playing Batman was bad. After seeing this movie, it totally changed my mind on what he could bring to the table with playing the character. I have to say, this was the best movie role of Batman I've ever seen, and I liked the Christian Bale trilogy a lot. I've read many people say that Batman is supposed to be, or act, a certain way. I read many Dark Knight and Batman comics growing up and I've read stories where he acted in many different ways according to the story line. So, I found no problem making him dark and angry in this particular movie. Are these super hero movies ever perfect?
I went to see this movie with two other people. My Sister was one of them and she told me she loved Jesse Eisenberg's take on Lex Luthor. I could hear her laughing out loud and giggling a lot to some of his scenes. I felt he did a pretty decent job in his role (a different take on the character than we're used to seeing) but it was hard to understand some of his lines. Especially, at the end of the movie. As for my take on the person playing Diana Prince / Wonder Woman, I was a bit surprised by the choice of Gal Gadot only because I'm used to seeing a total knockout with big boobs in the role. I thought she looked pretty darn good before she let her hair down and put on that costume but once she started fighting, she looked hot again.
I may be in the minority here but I loved "Man Of Steel" and have viewed it multiple times. Henry Cavill is a great choice in the role. I just wished they would have done another Superman movie or two before they did a "Justice League" movie.

This is one that I'll wait to watch on Netflix. I have read too many bad reviews of it, including a slamming of it by a friend whose judgement I trust on this topic. Net, not worth me paying theater prices for.

I liked it. The only character I didn't like was lex Luther. This guy should have been cast as the next joker. Oh well. Wonder woman...I'm joining her super cult instead of superman's. Lol!

Batman lifting weights 🏋 to take on SUPERMAN☠️☠️?
Even in fiction my brain couldn't let that happen.

"I may be in the minority here but I loved "Man Of Steel" and have viewed it multiple times. Henry Cavill is a great choice in the role." Yes I agree Man of Steel is in my collection in 3D......... "I just wished they would have done another Superman movie or two before they did a "Justice League" movie." Better yet, wished they skipped it altogether. I will just enjoy "Steel man" and forget they ever made this one! Bill
