Elton John goodbye yellow brick road, and album I have listened to since my brother bought it when it was released and I was 13 I think. So probably thousands of times I have listened to this album and now realize Ive never really heard it. I have never heard anything like this before. I have had some pretty good sounding setups in my 53 years but this is, well, just a fantastic new experience. There is so much depth and separation and clarity and it's just so real, engaging and beautiful. I am lucky to have a great EMO set up and have this also. So you like the distortion? Me to. We seem to get lost in the argument and in the end all that matters is enjoying the music.

If what I'm hearing is "distortion" compared to ss, where can I get more?

If what I'm hearing is "distortion" compared to ss, where can I get more? Add a tube phono pre amp, = more!

Some of the distortion adding stuff can be had at reasonable prices these days.
You should explore and check it out.

I am listening to Carol King's Tapestry right now, my goodness There are backup singers I here so definitively now, I think I can almost see where there standing. This thing is 3D. Don't get me wrong I still love my Emo products and think they are great, but a great quality SET tube amp is something altogether different, so real. The funny Thing is that's exactly how I feel about my XMC-1 and XPA-1Ls! Really enjoying my new setup, and glad to hear you are too.

Your amp looks stunning however that 5 watts/channel is not a lot of power. You may want to be careful pushing it too much, that could cause the amp to clip and that could possibly cause damage to your speakers. I have Tekton speakers with the same efficiency rating as yours that I sometimes use with my tube integrated amp, I also have less efficient planers, and bookshelf speakers I use with it as well my amp is rated at 50watts/channel or it's switchable to 25watts/channel class A. It easily puts out enough volume to satisfy, but you may be asking a little too much from your Decware. Easy does it. This is not to criticize your post but more to express my experience with tubes. While my 803diamonds are pretty efficient speakers @90db there power supply comes from a pair of tube mono-blocks in triode mode rated 35watts per channel. Seems like an awful small amount of power when I was told that I would need AT LEAST 300 watts per channel and they would run better with 500watts. FUBAR! They are crystal clear at both low and high volumes and I have NEVER had an issue. I will admit I have only had this system for less than a year but I listen constantly. As with any amplifier SS/TUBES cracking the volume to window shattering sound levels will put a hurting on your system. One has to be judicious.

Really happy with Emotiva, I have the best of solid state and tubes which I am very blessed to have. Lots of love for emotiva here. I have owned Mcintosh and many others and I would put my Emo setup right there with any of it..

After about 50 hours or so now, this amp is opening up and sounding unbelievable! I have never heard anything so musical in my life. So real. Can't say I have ever enjoyed my music as much as I do now. Can't stop listening. My number one love is back in spades, (besides my wife and daughter of course ). Highly recommended!
