Does anyone know if the BasX line of amplifiers (specifically the A-300)will have XLR inputs? Will the A-300 be the replacement for the XPA-200?
Thanks

And it's 40% more in price.... Not sure if it's your math or facts, the UPA-200 used to be $349, the A-300 is $399. That's just under a 15% increase right?

Guys, these are new models and not UPA amps so they will cost more money than a UPA amp did a number of years ago. Newer technology, made is the USA its a new ball game so enjoy the products that Emotiva is putting out and if you want one then buy it, if its more money than you are willing to spend buy something else.
Let's support the great work they are doing and keep it positive!

They keep improving on cost to performance.

This discussion of new products is long over due. Too much complaining has been happening here and what Emotiva has always done is still happening.

If the BasX is the replacement for the UPA line then what is the XPA-200 replacement line? I need an amp in the 100-150 watt range with XLR's.

The X series replacement is the XPA-G3, the XPA-200 was part of the X series, not its own. You might want to look for a used XPA-200 if cost is the issue. Edit: The 'stereo' modules for the G3 may also be an option, but we don't know when those will arrive and how much they'll cost. There's also some discrepancy on power, some have reported 75 WPC, others 150 WPC, I don't remember what Emo staff reported.

Don't matter. They keep improving on cost to performance. Again I agree on price, but we need to set the facts right on where it's made. It does not matter where it is made. Things may change in the future but think about it. Think about where all the things you own are made now. That is reality and that is not going to change overnight.

What matters is giving people on this forum the right information and letting them decide what's important. Someone implied that the BasX product will be made in the USA and I believe that is incorrect, prospective buyers can decide if it matters to them. To answer your question I purchase USA products when they meet my needs and are competitive with other options, I will even pay more in some cases.

I have not heard anyone say that the BasX gear is made in the USA. I think it is great that some of the new gear that Emotiva is making is made in the USA but be real.

Why don't you try reading this thread again, you don't even have to read the whole thing, start with your first post (and read the whole thing). Here, maybe I'm misreading the post: emotivalounge.proboards.com/post/819813/thread

BasX does not need to be made in the US and I have not read that Emotiva said it was.
