I just got the new XRD-2, Gen 3 unpacked. I am so happy and excited. It is quiet as a wireless mouse and the sound is to die for. I'll do an A/B/C blind with my old XRD-1 and my Benchmark DCR-1. I expect the speed control to be perfect and the WF (wow and flutter) to be state of the art. I'll hook it up tomorrow and report back ..... more later.

My new meds seem to be making me dream and hallucinate frequently. Maybe I was just dreaming about the XRD-2. Now I slightly recall a dream about klinemj and an XRD-2. I have looked around the house and can't seem to find it? I'll keep looking.

I called Emo Sales Department and they said I couldn't get one. It's a one-off made just for you. That's all I could find out. They wouldn't even disclose what it is or what it does.

I really thought I was losing my mind for a minute... ? Hey! At least you didn't 'loose' it... I hear that can make for some strange cranial noises.

I really thought I was losing my mind for a minute... ? Hey Big Dan, don't jump to conclusions here. Just because you haven't seen the XRD-2 yet doesn't mean you haven't already lost your mind. I thought I was losing my mind way back when I thought I saw the prototype of a new Emo Toaster. Later, I realized it was just one of those hallucinations I get with every Blue Moon.

Chuck, Congratulations on your purchase ! Remember it doesn't matter what you do with the XRD-2, it just won't sound good without these cables from Audioquest ! These are only around $23,000.00 depending on length. These are the best cable in the world for bringing out the chocolatey highs and warm mids from the krypton oscillator in the XRD-2. Don't forget the cable risers also since krypton oscillators and static electricity don't get along well at all, which we all know kills the dynamic range ! The AudioQuest Wild Wood speaker cables are among the world’s very best. These cables contain the finest materials: superior conductor metals, shielding scheme and connectors, and termination process. Wild Wood's very low impedance and inductivity offer an immensely pure, detailed, and natural sound. It is simultaneously dynamic and lush, and purely neutral. This cable is a both a work of art and a labor of love for Bill Low, AudioQuest’s president. In our opinion, and in terms of our recent listening tests, these high-priced cables are worth every penny. If your reference system demands the best, you need to hear AudioQuest Wild! Mark
