I am inquiring about the release date of the EMP-1 as well. My other question is regarding the BasX MC-700 and it's release date. Will the Emotiva Pre/Pro lineup essentially be from top to bottom. XMC-1, EMP-1 and BasX MC-700? Am I correct in assuming the BasX MC-700 is a full pre/pro processor similar to the UMC-200 as a replacement/successor to that model. I am a fan of the round volume control knob to the right and the directional buttons to the left on pre/pro's. The sales team of Emotiva said that emp-1 and mc-700 might be launching in Q4. sigh. Hopefully, it doesn't get delayed further than that. Then again, its Emotiva, and its reputation is not that good when it comes to launching products on time. Yeah, the line up should be XMC-1, EMP-1 and BasX MC-700. can't wait for EMP-1, XMC-1 is a bit out of budget for me. |

Cant help with release dates sorry [the podcasts are what I discern info from generally as it seems more 1st hand IYKWIM] . I think the emersa line is next but . Thats an accurate picture of the pre pro pecking order. below is the original mc700 specs ; the price is different now iirc . An update would be greatly appreciated... Lasted I was quoted was Q2 to late summer, so maybe late September. I find it bizarre in the extreme that no one, but no one, has any knowledge. Logically that cannot be.......... |

Logically that cannot be.......... "bizarre in the extreme" ? Many of the Emotiva employees have knowledge of the EMP-1 but they took an oath of silence. My understanding is that they under went training so they can withstand interrogation. Even water boarding ! Sorry !  |
