The Emersa was a beautiful looking piece. Nope, no volume knob is a non-starter. Otherwise it was just okay looking at best. Looks like it was designed by KIA.

I do think that this line could have some interested buyers in the marketplace. A lot of folks do want smaller gear and basic functionality.

Looking through the Emotiva site looks like a company going out of business. Sold out or discontinued on half of the products.

Outside of amps almost every other section on their website shows close out or sold out on nearly everything. Take another sip of your Koolaid

It looked and sounded good. I heard the prototype. But did you turn it all the way up to 11? I didn’t touch the controls. I wasn’t in the market for these types of products - slim class D amps etc., but I can see why some people would be interested. You guys sure Emotiva is looking like they are struggling? I see a lot of “high end” companies displaying their products in these tiny hotel rooms, including my beloved Revel, while Emotiva has literally the best room with highest foot traffic location in that Renaissance Convention Center at Axpona. Plus this year they are having a party Saturday evening. I should be there both Friday and Saturday. Just saying. I know they have their struggles ie the RMC-1 issues and still no Dirac is inexcusable but they seem like they are pretty well off.

Looking through the Emotiva site looks like a company going out of business. Sold out or discontinued on half of the products. I think we've touched on this before, but if was not clear, no the Emersa line is not in our current lineup. We fully developed the line and announced it way back during the trade show circuits as something that was coming soon but shelved it for various reasons - mainly to focus on other core products in our product lines. Could it still come out? It's possible. Is it imminent? No, not at this time. Is it delayed? No its not. We changed direction. Do we regret that announcement - yes and no. In my opinion, I wish we hadn't discussed it because it didn't come out, but at the same time the announcement did give us really good feedback about whether or not people liked this product line idea from us - since it was a totally new concept, and that information was/is valuable to us in terms of what we make in the future. Moving forward, big product news announcements that historically come about at trade shows, like this Emersa announcement from a few years ago, are becoming less and less important - at least to us. Now, you can make announcements at any point of the year via press or other means, and we no longer feel pressure to conform to deadlines for trade show press releases. Which historically, I'll admit, have gotten us into a frustrating cycle. We've stepped off that wheel, so to speak. As for out of stock items - we have a handful of things that are out of stock. If you'd like to be notified when they'll be back in stock, please be sure to fill out the form on the product page you are interested in. We also commented on discontinued products and our philosophy on those as well on the February podcast. This should sufficiently clarify that we are not going out of business.

FYI,
Not including the replacement box or gift card on the products page, there are a total of 62 different items. There are:
9 closeouts. (14.5%)
7 sold-out (11.3%)
46 in stock, (74.2%) of which 6 are now at a reduced price.
if you include sold-out with the in-stock (since sold-out implies they will be back in stock at some point), then that leaves 85.5% current equipment with only 14.5% as closeout.
methinks thou doth predict too much.
