Hi I am a DC-1 newbie. For the XLR outputs, are those exclusive to the analog inputs? So here's my question, if the incoming signal is USB or Coaxial, will the XLR outputs not a/d it and pass it on?
Thanks,

I might be wrong but since the DC-1 is a digital to analog converter it will take the incoming USB or Coaxial signal and convert it to analog and then output it through the XLR or RCA analog outputs. An analog incoming signal will also be output to the outputs.

anything you select on any of the inputs will appear on both of the analogue outputs (RCA and XLR)

Thanks, The XLR outputs pass whatever signal you have selected for the input. If it is a digital signal, then the DC-1 converts it to analog and sends it to both the RCA and XLR outputs. The XLR's cannot carry a digital signal.

Just to add to what everyone else said, the RCA and XLR output are both active as well.

There is no A/D going on. Also if the analog RCA unbalanced is converted to a balanced signal and output via the balanced XLR outputs.
