Has anyone tried an outboard phono preamp with the usp-1 and what wete the results.

Tried a few inexpensive phono pre amps (Cambridge, Music Hall and a Behringer) but the onboard pre amp in the USP-1 was the best sounding. After that it was a value question, I could have spent more on a phono pre amp but an upgrade to an XSP-1 seemed like better value for money.
