Ill get this right eventually. Thought I Would add this here. TA-100: We're audio guys! Right? So, I have a little request. 1) I would have liked to have the trigger configurable. Instead of triggering an external amp that I'm not using I'd rather trigger the CD player when I switch to it on the PT-100. ( AVR ) 2) 80 wpc is needed with a set of Bookshelf Reference Klipsch RB 61 II 's IMHO. I have no idea what that would have cost but id like to know or have an idea. *) New twist! Three year warranty is NOT transferable. Period! Warranty expires upon resale of product. Statement of fact not a judgement. This is just my first impressions of this unit, don't take it to heart, its a sweet little setup for sure. Ill break out the Monoblocks an find out what they do for it. Id rather not but ya have to do what ya have to do! Im not looking for high db's just need to fill the room. I do have very high standards ill remind those that are looking for a versatile unit will enjoy this. Easy to move, setup and enjoy. But Im spoiled rotten so take my advice for what its worth. Need more time and break in time. Maybe she'll warm up a bit. Maybe I will too.

teaman The review was a short listen to the TA-100 and my first impressions. Ill need a little more time with it but it really didn't rock the room. And im not speaking of extreme levels. Off to a movie. Edit; A problem was found and it wasn't the TA-100 read further down the thread! A bad cable will ruin everything!

If 50 doesn't do it for you then you really need at least three times that. What amp were you driving them with previously?

Ive powered them as mains and surrounds with my Yamaha 3020 and as mains with Emotiva XPA-1Ls, ive even given them a listen with the XPR-1's . They do sound very different with each different amp. Ive desided to play the TA-100 overnight and see if they change at all with some break in time on the amps. Time will tell.

Good news folks, seems that the FM signal was a problem. Not static but perhaps a very weak sinal. Anyway, after installing Tidal on the laptop and dtreaming HiFi the results are much better. I also allowed the amp to "cook" for some time today. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not. More testing tomorrow. Its later then I thought! This dang hobby has me sleep deprived !

Beware, a coup may be forming within the Secret Monoblock Society.

Beware, a coup may be forming within the Secret Monoblock Society. It was late last night when I typed my last post on the topic. I had also, as stated if original post, that I was also using my Emotiva ERC-2!and a CD by Prince. Im not sure why such a difference in sound between a few days. But Tidal streaming from my laptopmwas significantly better. Further investigation will be needed. emotivalounge.proboards.com/post/842707/quote/42146?page=23

Entire nights have vanished, fueled by a relentless pursuit of perfection... and great coffee!

Each amp has it's own, unique, sonic signature. You might be picking up on that.

Thanks my friends, Ive come to a few conclusions. Yes stiehl11 , I am picking up on the different sound of the amp and it is a different signature then any other Ive had. I will need more time with them to find out weather or not they gel well with my Klipsch. Disclaimer; Never underestimate the cabling and how wrong it can go. After hours of messing with Winders 10 and configuration of it working with my TA-100 I was at witts end!! Steam blowing out my ears. Just couldnt get the USB input to work again, worked just fine last night!! WTHey!!!! Finally replaced the new USB cable with an older retired one,,,,,,guess what!!! New cable was only working sporadicly, joy has been found. Ive also found that inputs have different effects on the unit, ie: different inputs have different output volumes. Im not sure this is normal but it is noticeable to me. The TA-100 is now belting out fully and filling the room with music at levels I will not require. So far Im enjoying this unit and it will fill a lot of check boxes for many looking for a fine unit. The remote controll, lightweight and functional needs to be a little more intuitive for my liking, maybe a Harmoney remote upgaded unit would be easier. I haven't usednthe phono input yet! Thats to come shortly.

Does anybody know if there are any remote control codes for the TA-100 to use with the Comcast Xfinity X1 remote control (XR11 voice activated remote)? Any recommendations for an intelligent remote to handle Comcast X1 Xfinity dvr cable box, Emotiva TA-100, Oppo BPT 101CI, and Apple TV.

I use a Harmony remote and although Logitech does not have the codes for the TA-100 in their database yet it's a simple matter of manually adding it as a device by teaching the few remote buttons the TA-100 has. It also handle the X1 box and my Oppo.

Sounding better with each passing day, still hate the remote!
Finally got around to spinning some vinyl. Sounds pretty dang good for a unit of this caliber ! Moest likely sound much better with my Rega but the Music Hall sounds very good.
This system could never replace my cave system but for the pricepoint, I dont know if you could do much better.

novisnick thanks for posting your impressions. I'm curious if you've tried the optical input yet? I didn't like the sound of vocals and spoken word through optical (sounded like talking into a can), but I'm pretty sure it's just my TV's DSP/mixer.

I have a connection to it but have not tested it as of yet. Ill get back to you on it though.
