I have been enjoying mine for over two years. I do agree that this unit needed a 1/4" headphone jack along with an 1/8" one since it is a "pro" model but I do get the build issues that would have created. This is why the new A-100 comes with a 1/4" headphone jack since lot's of people used it as a dedicated headphone amp. .................and I look forward to doing just that. My Sennheiser HD600's are keeping me up at night screaming for MORE POWER!

Why does it have a power button? I never turn it off. It doesn't have a power off button! There's one labeled "OFF" on the remote too!

Yes the high voltage rails for the Headphone drive help make the DC-1 a great Headphone listen. I liked mine allot.

It doesn't have a power off button! There's one labeled "OFF" on the remote too! I always thought that one is for powering off just the remote.

It's been proven that placing objects in between the remote and the equipment can lead to poor quality performance. (Really!)
