The 40% card is valid for life - one time use.

Oh your tease! I take it that the model to be shown at CES will be a working model?

Huh, kind of a weird asymmetrical layout on the output board.

That would be very very nice.

Finally! A picture of the TCP...toaster control panel! What took so long? Mark

Ok this sucks. I need a high resolution photo. I am trying to see these parts used. And even with a magnifying glass can't read them. Lol

I believe that's just the output board. A bunch of Balanced Output Buffering, Inversion, etc. There aren't any DACs there as far as I can tell.

Those QFPs will be the DACs, one for each channel!

Oh. I guess I figured a DAC package would be bigger. I guess I've spent way too much time with large ASICs recently. I guess you're right. The AK4490 for instance is here and the linked News Release shows it as being a 48-pin LQFP. There's no physical size given, but it looks pretty small. And the TI Burr-Brown DSD1796 used in the XMC-1 is here and is a DIP 7.8mm x 10.2mm ... So yeah, I guess those could be DACs of some form or another. Casey

on that note, has the DAC(s) in the RMC-1 been confirmed? thanks.

I haven't heard anything. That is what I was hoping to see on that board. Along with opamps and such.

When you say the programs have ended, I thought you can still use the 40% card if it hasn't been redeemed on a processor yet? There's no more cards being issued but I thought Emo is still honoring the ones that are out there. Yes, the card in hand is redeemable and if your a DFL member, that too is redeemable. No longer is Emotiva offering the 40% off discount card or new members into the DFL. This is all to the best of my memory. Its usually pretty good. Yes, pretty good, except the 25% off program is called UFL (Upgrade For Life).

Is it showing 16 balanced outputs/inputs?

Some are very good sounding. It just depends. And with all them channels I am sure they will have to use them for space savings.

GOOD op-amps, WHEN USED PROPERLY, sound just as good as discrete transistors. (An op-amp is just a bunch of transistors and other components in a small package.) Opamps?? I thot opamps are big no-no for balanced connections? Hmm Not always. Some are very good sounding. It just depends. And with all them channels I am sure they will have to use them for space savings.

It's showing 16 balanced OUTPUTS. Is it showing 16 balanced outputs/inputs?

Ok, 16, let's think about this.
9.3.4 Or 7.3.6
If I were interested in ATMOS (but I'm not) I would vote for the second.

9.3.4 Or 7.3.6 If I were interested in ATMOS (but I'm not) I would vote for the second. +1 on that config ; dts neo x and the like may go well when upmixing with front heights but ide rather have well positioned ceiling speakers for dolby surround and dts neural x . Newer better algorithms than pl2z too Just as long as the RMC1 doesn't get auro 3d ; but then that would complicate the dirac unison calculations with all the speakers positioning depending on its neighbour and just 1 vog ?
