Was there supposed to be an announcement this week? I don't recall seeing one but maybe I missed it.
It's pretty cool that the RMC-1 is getting close. The front design will be interesting - when the XPR amps were still in production, there was an artist rendition that modeled the look of the RMC-1 after the XPR amps. But now that they are discontinued, it'll probably be something else, i.e. It won't match my XPR amps.
Well neither does my XMC-1 match it now anyway and obviously the sound is more important but I was just thinking out loud.

Sorry, you are incorrect. But, a nice try! Yeah, i know i have to wait 😄. From business perspective i can understand that completely. Could you at least tell me something about the size of the RMC? That would help. Thank you.

Love to match the XPR!!!! Such a premium stylish look! Theres a certain logic here Nick ; the xpa g3's now can have dual balanced ch modules ; the RMC1 is fully balanced input/output ; a match in architecture and looks ? Matching class D amps another possibility for all those object codec channels for both their small size as well as considering ice amps are also dual differential .. Something to ponder hmm .. or not Small has advantages when shipping 1/2 way round the world I must say ; class a/b not so much Merry Christmas all

That would help. Thank you. It looks ~3U. Probably around 17" wide and my guess would be a depth similar to an XPA amp. One of the photos of the test mule on the ground makes it look relatively deep.

I would think the size and looks would mimic the XMC-1

It might be similar size, but I hope it has a different look than the xmc1. Just my 2 centavos
Merry Christmas folks.

I have not seen that. The front panel looks nice with the multi-function knob. Ironic how that's on AVS and all we get on this forum is a fake back panel lol.

Looks taller than U3 chaise!, are the XPA G3 chaise U4?

Will the RMC-1 have Dirac Unison? More than one preset for Dirac Live? Merry Christmas to one and all !

I like the looks a lot. But I really want to know what the inside looks like. That is where it's at. That will make it or break it.
Which AKM DAC's are we getting? What is the power supply like? What volume control? What master clock? Signal path? Connector's? Regulator's? What would be absolutely amazing would be galvanic isolation.
These are all the things I want to know. And yes the front looks very worthy of a statement piece. 😉

Question will it be similar to the xmc1 were it's module, semi obsolete proof, well at least to a degree. I'll take at least 5 year of upgradeability!

Hhmmm, well this is a definite for me. Now the question is: do I also get a new three double-wide channel XPA to drive my L/C/R Legacies? (What would that be? "XPA-DW3 Gen3"? Very confusing.) I don't suppose that anyone here has cross tested the MPS-1 and new XPA Gen3 amplifiers? I'm very happy with the MPS-1 but if I do want to experiment with Atmos I'll need at least two more amplifier channels. Speaking of which, has anyone played around with Atmos Elevation Speakers? For instance, the Klipsch RP-140SA's would probably fit on top of my Legacy Focus SE L/R without looking too horrible ... And at $500/pair, I could afford to take a gamble ... Hhmmm, seems like I should start separate threads for all these questions ... Merry Christmas all! Casey

I don't believe the double wide modules have been released yet. I'm sure when they are - the website will be updated. Or I'm sure you could call to order.
As far as comparison with MPS-1 - I'm curious how many are out in the wild. In my experience - there don't seem to be too many owners. They certainly show up on eBay very infrequently. (Maybe owners don't want to sell?)
I've never seen one. I'd be curious to see how they compared given the elapsed time between release dates.
